Doctors without borders/MedecinsSansFrontieres (MSF) is an internationala humanitarian organization that provides assistance in more than 60 countries of the world to the population in a difficult situation, victims of natural disasters, man-made disasters and armed conflicts, regardless of their race, religious or political beliefs .  

MSF is a civil society initiative that brings together people committed to providing helping other people in crisis situations. MSF is thus an association by choice.

Anyone who works with MSF, does so out of conviction and is willing to support the organization's values ​​and principles.

Primary objective:

Provide programmatic psychiatric/psychosocial services in accordance with MSF standards, to provide the most appropriate mental health support health of beneficiaries.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the planning, organization and coordination of mental health care activities in close cooperation with mental health manager and other members of the medical team to ensure the effective and efficient use of necessary resources while maintaining a high level of quality in MSF's mental health programs and activities.
  • Organize mental health support for beneficiaries in accordance with MSF protocols and standards to ensure the most appropriate work with beneficiaries with psychosocial needs.
  • Maintain Restraint communication with other members of the MSF project team
  • Teach (lectures, trainings) beneficiaries the basic skills of mental health support, train medical workers in the basics of providing care for psychological disorders.< /li>
  • Supervise administrative processes related to psychosocial functioning.
  • Provide psychological support to beneficiaries according to MSF protocols , in order to improve their mental state and increase their functional capabilities.
  • Collect statistical data related to activities in the field of mental healthmyself, and reporting to the Medical Operations Manager and the Mental Health Manager.
  • In collaboration with the Mental Health Manager, suggest consulting psychologists conduct audits their consultations.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all information about beneficiaries.

Duties depending on the context/MSF section:

  • Work in Donetsk region based in m. Sloviansk and trips to other settlements to provide psychological assistance to the population and medical staff of hospitals.
  • Conducting individual and group psychological consultations on the ground.
  • Conducting trainings for different categories of people (in most cases, for medical professionals) on key mental health topics. Prepare presentations for trainings.
  • Fill out reporting forms, regularly analyze data on psychological assistance.
  • Give suggestions on improving the process of providing psychological assistance.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education -diploma in psychology (related field).

Experience / competencies:

  • Experience in psycho-social counseling for at least 2 years;
  • Knowledge of the English language.
