TGH background

Established in 1994, TGH (Triangle Generation Humanitaire) is a French international solidarity organization based in Lyon. The organization implements emergency, humanitarian, rehabilitation and development programs in WASH, Food Security and Livelihoods, Shelter/Rehabilitation, Education and Protection sectors. TGH currently operates in 10 countries in Africa, Asia, Middle East and Europe. TGH has been operating in Ukraine since June 2016.

Presentation of the mission:

The PSS Coordinator will oversee implementation and monitoring of and further develop TGH’s Psychosocial Support (PSS) programs in the Country, with a direct supervisory role over PSS staff implementing in Lviv Oblast. Provide technical support and management to the PSS projects and overall leadership to PSS staff and partners.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Responsibility 1: Program Support

  • Contribute to the development of strategy, scope and range of the PSS program for TGH in Ukraine including geographical and technical areas of work in consultation with the other active sectors of TGH
  • Prepare and oversee program implementation to ensure timely delivery of program activities, including monitoring against log frames, individual performance management work plans, identifying program supplies needs and coordinating with the logistics team to put in place a practical phased procurement plan
  • Carry out regular monitoring field visits, including Technical Supervisory Observations of PSS sessions
  • Ensure the participation of children and communities in all stages of the program cycle, as safe and appropriate
  • Ensure proper filing of documents, including paper files of individual cases through regular file checks, and support legal advisors to ensure electronic and paper files are followed up, kept updated, and secured in line with good practice in data protection
  • Provide technical support for the design and improvement of PSS interventions, including sharing and developing of tools, guidelines and standards as appropriate
  • In coordination with the Partnership Manager, oversee Partner implementations on a weekly basis, including narrative, financial, interim, final reports. To ensure compliance with implementation plans, TGH and donor requirements, and local legislation

Responsibility 2: Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)

  • Review monitoring and evaluation systems for PSS interventions in collaboration with MEAL team
  • Lead on PSS assessments as required, in coordination with the PSS Cluster and/or other external agencies, ensuring assessment findings are documented and that all assessments include a disaggregated analysis of children’s needs
  • Put in place accountability activities for PSS, ensuring that feedback from children, communities, and all other relevant stakeholders is considered in program design
  • Gather lessons learned for the project and put together case studies to inform future programming and strategic directions
  • Prepare timely program and donor reports on PSS project activities

Responsibility 3: Fundraising and Advocacy

  • Working closely with staff from the Program unit, support fundraising for PSS, incl. development of high quality concept notes and proposals
  • Ensure that TGH’s work is coordinated with efforts of other agencies and Government, and take a leadership role within Interagency Coordination forums, ensuring the specific needs of children are being addressed

Responsibility 4: Capacity Development

  • Manage and lead TGH Ukraine PSS staff through performance planning and review
  • Provide on-going coaching, mentorship and other capacity building for TGH and partner staff
  • Design and deliver training on technical aspects of program for TGH and partner PSS staff, partners, local authorities and community members.

Responsibility 5: Coordination

  • Represent TGH and take a proactive role in the PSS Cluster sub national cluster, maintain relationships with relevant government departments, UN agencies, NGOs and community based organizations

Job Requirements:

  • Experience with NGO is an asset
  • Fluent English, Ukrainian. French is an asset.
  • Empathetic, pro-active, autonomous, organized and structured, flexible, listener, be a creative force, ease of writing and reporting
