We are seeking a laser-focused Proofreader with impeccable spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills, who will be responsible for ensuring that agency-generated content is 100% error-free, of the highest quality, and aligned with each brand's voice and style. The proofreading department at Wonderful Agency is a lean, tight-knit team that sees literally everything for each of Wonderful's brands, from a new Teleflora holiday campaign to the reboot of “Get Crackin'” for Wonderful Pistachios. The work spans all channels and levels – printed collateral, newsletters, advertising, and packaging; campaign presentation decks; TV commercials; websites; and much more.The proofreader will have the opportunity to work with stakeholders at nearly every level of the organization to help hone the voice of our iconic portfolio of brands, as well as partner with brand managers, project managers, creative, production, and Corporate Communications teams.This role will report to the proofreading manager and will be based in our West Los Angeles office, working within our hybrid schedule.Job DescriptionEnsure everything that crosses your desktop and screen is 100% error-freeWork with copywriters, designers, and brand teams to ensure that all communications and materials stay faithful to each brand's voiceCommunicate with the project managers to make sure project deadlines are metMaintain departmental copy style guides provided by the proofreading managerCollaborate with proofreading manager and stakeholders across the agency to update and codify departmental process documents as neededQualifications3–5+ years of proofreading experience in an advertising, marketing, or similar environment with B2B and/or B2C communicationsThorough knowledge of AP styleBA in English or writing, or 5+ years of commensurate work experienceExcellent proofreading skills, unearthly attention to detail, and ability to remain calm under pressure during high-volume periodsConfidence using a Mac, tracking changes in Microsoft Word, and using built-in markup tools in Adobe Acrobat Pro and online portals such as ClickUp, Ziflow, and FigmaAbility to grasp, track, and apply styles consistently across all channels of communication for multiple brandsAbility to read Spanish and/or French is a plus but not necessaryPay Rate: $35.00-38.00/hour and may include a discretionary bonus.
