Proficient in English at a high level (C1 or higher).- li>
- Has experience in conducting research on feminism and/or gender studies (academic and non-academic publications, projects, conferences, etc.).
- Has experience in cooperation with Ukrainian feminist organizations; experience in the Ukrainian educational system will be an advantage.
- Has an expert level of knowledge of the history of Ukrainian feminism and the struggle for women's rights in Ukraine.
- Well understands women's rights and gender discrimination, especially in Ukrainian social, historical and cultural context.
- Good understanding of feminist methodologies and anti-colonial approaches to research.
- Has strong communication and organizational skills, as well as public speaking skills.
- Supports the mission of Amnesty International and our principles.
Responsibilities and tasks:
- Identification of the main violations of human rights related to discrimination based on sex or gender, and development of projects for effective response to these violations.
- Development and implementation of projects in the field of human rights education (especially regarding gender equality) , including direct participation in trainings and other events in schools, companies, etc.
- Assistance in the development and implementation of strategies for effective response to human rights violations in Ukraine.
- Preparation and translation of materials on human rights from English to Ukrainian and vice versa, especially those related to gender discrimination.
- Participation in various events for the representation of Amnesty International in Ukraine.
- Participation in communications between Ukrainian and by other offices of Amnesty International.
- Assistance in the implementation of other strategies and projects of Amnesty International in Ukraine.
