IBO BF "SOS Children's Villages" Ukraine invites a Project manager to the team for the implementation of the international project "Ctrl+SAFE - Empowering children, parents, guardians and digital service providers for safe and responsible use of digital services", funded by The European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) within the framework of the CERV program.

Project will be implemented by an international consortium led by SOS Children's Villages International with the participation of SOS organizations from Albania, Italy, Kosovo, Spain, Ukraine and partners from the non-profit and private sectors (including the corporate IT partner EPAM).

The 24-month project (starting in April 2026)is aimed at strengthening the safety and well-being of children в цифровому середовищі через освіту, підвищення обізнаності, міжсекторальний діалог, адвокацію та розробку рекомендацій політики.

Проєктний менеджер / менеджерка несе відповідальність за повний цикл управління проєктом в Україні, координацію з міжнародним консорціумом, дотримання вимог донора EACEA, політик SOS Children’s Villages та принципів захисту прав дитини.

Основні responsibilities:

  • Full implementation of the project in Ukraine in accordance with the EACEA grant agreement, logical matrix of results, annual/general work plan and donor requirements.
  • Detailed planning, coordination and monitoring of all activities in Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Mykolaiv and Poltava regions (regional hackathons, post-hackathon meetings, trainings for children and adults, campaigns with awareness raising, national steering groups, etc.).
  • Ensuring the achievement of quantitative and qualitative project indicators.  
  • Coordination and support of international cooperation within project tasks. 
  • Organization and administration of the process of selection, conclusion of agreements, monitoring and support of non-governmental organizations - recipients of sub-grants.
  • Coordination of involved experts, trainers, facilitators, contractors (production of videos, animations, campaign materials, podcasts, quizzes, etc.).
  • Implementation and monitoring of the integration of the principles of child safeguarding, gender sensitivity, inclusion of vulnerable groups, conflict sensitivity and a "child-centered" approach in all activities.
  • Preparation and submission of qualitative narrative, financial and MEAL reports to the donor (EACEA), SOS International, to the management of the organization; participation in interim and final evaluations.
  • Financial support of the project in close cooperation with the Project Finance Officer: control of compliance with the budget, explanation of deviations, participation in procurement in accordance with SOS and EACEA policies.
  • Active advocacy of the implementation of developed recommendations and materials at the national, regional and local levels (dialogue workshops with digital service providers, national events dissemination).
  • Ensuring effective communication within the team, with partners, stakeholders, authorities, communities and children/moby boat.
  • Project risk management, especially in the context of the security situation in Ukraine, and compliance with SOS security policies.

Necessary competencies, skills and requirements:

  • Higher education in project management, international development, social sciences, human rights, pedagogy, information technology / digital security or related fields.
  • Management experience projects in the public / international sector from 2 years (management of donor projects of the EU, EACEA, CERV, Erasmus+, Sida, UN, etc. will be an advantage).
  • Experience in the implementation of projects in the field of protection of children’s rights, digital safety of children, online awareness, media literacy, policy advocacy in the digital sphere or related topics.
  • Deep understanding of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, European standards of children’s rights in the digital environment (BIK+, DSA, GDPR, Council of Europe recommendations), challenges of online violence, cyberbullying, protection of children’s data.
  • Experience in organizing and facilitating events with the participation of children and youth (hackathons, trainings, advisory groups, forums) in compliance with the principles of child participation and safeguarding.
  • Experience with advocacy, development of policies / recommendations, dialogue with authorities, IT companies / digital service providers.
  • Experience in managing teams and partners, coordinating international consortia, working with sub-grants / local partners.
  • Excellent planning, monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEAL) skills, working with logframes, indicators, dashboards.
  • High level of communication, facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution in a multicultural and multisectoral environment.
  • Fluency in the Ukrainianlanguage.
  • Proficiency in English language - at C1 / Advanced level - mandatory, as a significant part of communication and reporting in English.
  • Confident use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Teams, Zoom; preferably - tools for project management (Asana, Trello, etc.).
  • Readiness for frequent business trips in Ukraine (4 regions) and abroad (international consortium meetings).
  • High stress resistance, ability to work in conditions of uncertainty, changes in priorities and increased workload.
  • Sharing the values and mission of SOS Children's Villages, unconditional compliance with the principles of child rights protection, gender equality and humanitarian standards.
