SOS Children’s Villages Ukraine is the part of the global federation of SOS Children’s Villages International (SOS CV). As a non-governmental social development organization, we support children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for the rights of children and young people, in alliance with a great diversity of partners.For the new long-term project, in alliance with Danish partner organizations, we are going to pilot a model for rebuilding sustainable child- and youth care in Ukraine. The project will consist of “hard” and “soft” components, which includes the construction and social parts.For the realization of this project we are looking for an experienced and committed Project Manager(f/m)Location: UkraineType of contract:Employment contractDuration: about 4 years starting from 2024Requirements:University degree in Economics, Social Sciences, Management orotherrelated fields.At least3 years of experiencein project managementin NGOs.Knowledge of Project Cycle Management including needs assessment, project design, development and implementation, M&E, reporting.Strong leadership skills, ability to lead/coordinate/motivate and support field office staff.Flexible, able to work in a team and independently in a fast paced and often changing environment.Ability to establish strong and effective working relationships with colleaguesand partners.Excellent organisational and problem solving skills, strong negogiation skills.Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, work under pressure and cope with stressProficiency in English and Ukrainian,written and spoken.Good proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and online video conferencing tools (MS Teams, Zoom etc.).Sharing the values, aims and objectives of organisation, and commitment to humanitarian principles and international humanitarian standards.Main tasks and responsibilities:Ensures the implementation of the project in accordance with the contractand donor`s requirements.Fulfils the approved project termsand conditions, meet deadlines,monitors the achievement of the projectgoals.Actively participates in recruitment andeffectively manages project staff.Provides support for field staff in planning and implementation of theprojectthrough regular meetings and field visits.Provides monitoring and evaluation of theproject, i.e. daily/weekly/monthly monitoring, mid-term review and final evaluation.Responsible for regular budget follow-up, ensures that expenses are in line with the budget, explains the deviations between plans and actuals.Participates in procurement procedures,keeping the organization`s policies.Prepares reports,updates, presentationsand other necessary documentsforworking meetings, conferences, etc.with relevant stakeholders to represent theprojector as per donors' requests.Keeps the team informed of the latest security information based on the recommendations given by the Security Advisor.Ensures that child safeguarding and child protection are streamlined in all operations and activities.Ensures adherence to SOS CV policies and procedures as well as to international humanitarian standards and principles.Ensures regular reporting on programme activities and on the financial situation.We offer:A diverse and international working environmentFull-time official employmentand timely payment of remunerationReadinessfor business trips to designated communitiesHealth insurance after probation periodNew tasks and challengesIf you are interested in this position, please send your CV (not exceeding 2 pages) along with a motivation letter in EnglishThe position is open until filled.
