Project Manager in Ajax Systems

R&D is responsible for the development of devices at Ajax, which consists of four departments: System, Device, Automation and QA.

The System Department makes devices smart, turning them into a full-fledged IoT. They created and develop OS Malevich (a modular RTOS for various hardware platforms) and cloud service Ajax Cloud (Java 20 / Kotlin, AWS, Akka, NATS, Kafka, Mongo, MySQL). Applications for iOS (Objective-C, Swift), Android (Java, Kotlin), Windows/macOS (Python / C++, QT, QML) have been developed for system management, maintenance and monitoring by users, installers and engineers of security companies.

We are looking for a new player for the System Department who will strengthen the management team. The most important thing for a Project Manager: the desire to work in this field, to move mountains, to develop at a crazy pace and sparks in the eyes to get results.

Knowledge and skills required:

• experience from 2 years of project management in the field of IT as a technical PM;
• leadership, proactivity and a high level of self-organization;
• analytical, systemic and critical thinking;
• experience working with releases involving several teams at the same time;
• knowledge and experience in using flexible development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), ability to adapt them to the needs of the project;
• li>knowledge of the principles of classical project management;
• high communication skills: the ability to find compromises with interested parties, to obtain and clarify all the necessary information;
• the ability to quickly solve problems, make decisions and to take responsibility;
• the ability to work with a team, regardless of your or your team's mood, to lead, coordinate and motivate;
• English is not lower than Upper Intermediate.

Will be a plus:

• experience with SAFe/SA certification;
• experience of working in projects with stable releases and real users;
• experience of working with cross-platform projects, API/ embedded/ server part;
• experience of working in a product company.

Tasks:

• delivery of the release on time, qualitatively and efficiently; new or adaptation of existing processes of interactions with related systems;
• negotiations on technical issues with developers, business analysts and senior managers;
• prompt resolution of issues that arise in the delivery process;

• management of project changes and risks;
• estimation of the scope of work and planning of releases;
• participation in prioritization and maintaining the relevance of the backlog;
• planning and prioritization of tasks releases for comands;
• maintenance of project documentation;
• interaction with the technical leader and architect at all stages of project development;
• interaction with stakeholders and the product owner;
• organization and modification of operational and work processes in the team to optimize the use of resources;
• resource management of the team (organization and participation in hiring, firing, creation of personal development plans of employees);
• solving organizational issues to maintain team comfort and focus on the result.
