/strong>GENERAL DUTIES

 Specialist on the inclusion of persons with disabilities will directly report to the project manager on inclusion issues within the framework of the program for Ukraine. The disability inclusion specialist is based in the city of Mykolaiv and works on the implementation of the Humanity & Inclusion mandate and the organization's 10-year strategy for Ukraine. The specialist participates in the implementation of projects for the south of Ukraine, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, supporting the inclusion of persons with disabilities within HI and outside the organization and ensuring the optimization of the quality and efficiency of the relevant projects. He/she works closely with the program's technical support team.

TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES

 Task 1. Consultancy for projects in accordance with general framework documents and standards of inclusion of persons with disabilities

  1. Provides appropriate support and guidance on the inclusion of persons with disabilities to project teams, partners and/or other professionals. 
  2. Ensures the implementation of projects within the framework of internal standards of quality and inclusion of persons with disabilities, suggests amendments or opportunities for improvement if necessary.
  3. Adapts project documentation to global norms and standards of inclusion of persons with disabilities
  4. Participates in regular reporting on disability inclusion activities (data collection and further analysis) together with the project team and the MEAL department. 
  5. Monitors relevant aspects under the guidance of an inclusion specialist. 
  6. Participates in reporting to internal and external donors (interim and final reports) as requested.
  7. Contributes to the establishment of relationships with community-level organizations and associations, responsible officers and other organizations (national and international) in order to deepen the information available in HI about available services and support partnerships between humanitarian organizations and organizations of persons with disabilities.
  8. Promoting capacity development and providing support to external organizations/partners and communities in cooperation and under under the supervision of an inclusion specialist.

Task 2. Provides training based on the results of projects

  1. Collects the information necessary to use the results of the work with scientific documentation
  2. Promoting the training of the inclusion of persons with disabilities under the supervision of an inclusion specialist and based on good practices.
  3. Participation in the preparation of technical evaluation tasks
  4. Implementation of recommendations for improving the inclusion of persons with disabilities within the framework of projects
  5. Participation in the development of tools and materials for capacity building in the field of inclusion of persons with disabilities together with other technical specialists andan inclusion specialist for the purpose of implementing measures (trainings, information sessions)
  6. Support for test implementation, translation and contextualization of materials and tools together with persons with disabilities and organizations of persons with disabilities. 

Task 3.Contributes to the development of the potential of the inclusion sector

  2. Participates in or manages the process of conducting necessary trainings on the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the specialist's area of ​​responsibility for internal and external stakeholders, including organizations of persons with disabilities. 
  3. Contributes to the development of skills in the field of inclusion of persons with disabilities within the framework of the mission of HI in Ukraine
  4. Can contribute to the development of local personnel potential of specialists in the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the south of Ukraine (conducts interviews with candidates and provides recommendations, determines training needs)
  5. Distributes tools for the inclusion of persons with disabilities, leaflets and other relevant documents, conducts planned events with the participation of local organizations and other non-governmental organizations / organizations of persons with disabilities (as needed ) with the prior approval of the direct manager / inclusion specialist. 
  6. Provides information about possible partners who need support and coordination platforms to promote inclusion at the local level to the inclusion specialist.

 Task 4. Contributes to ensuring the technical influence of HI in the areas of the organization's activities

  1. Contributes to the influence of HI's expert opinion: can represent HI's expert opinion on the inclusion of persons with disabilities in specialized local networks and for local partners
  2. < li>Contributes to the external influence of HI through participation in specialized networks.
  3. Participates in drafting new proposals for new opportunities for inclusion in the specialist's area of ​​responsibility.

  Task 5. Management of warehouses in the specialist's area of ​​responsibility.

  1. Instructs the specialist of the economic department and inventory management on proper storage and work process in warehouses in accordance with HI rules.
      < li>Ensures proper documentation of work in the warehouse by the specialist of the economic department and inventory management (packing list, commercial invoice, identification number, SRO, donation certificates, inventory list, SMC, etc.).
    1. Is a responsible employee on any issues related to inventory management.

QUESTIONNAIRE DATA DESIRED

Qualification:

  • Education in the field of occupational therapy, social, educational work (with persons with disabilities), population protection and other relevant fields;
  • OR practical experience working with persons with disabilities or as a volunteer/human rights activist;
  • Awareness of different schools of thought and interpretation models disabilities;
  • Awareness of framework international documents: humanitarian principles, popularization of population protection, protection of the interests of the elderly and personswith disabilities;
  • OR experience of working with different groups of people with disabilities as part of a local or national organization of people with disabilities, a civil organization or an (international) non-governmental organization;
  • < li>Awareness of or ability to network and connect with stakeholders.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of work in the relevant profile;
  • Experience in outreach activities on disability and/or vulnerability/discrimination; Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and responsible manner; observing the rules of respectful communication;
  • Experience in conducting trainings or seminars;
  • Ability to identify problems and focus on their solution;
  • Ability to plan, organize and evaluate activities within projects by setting clear, specific tasks and measurable indicators together with the project manager. 
  • Promoting collective participation and cooperation on activities in the relevant sector and in interdisciplinary/intersectoral work.

Skills

  • Compulsory fluency in spoken and written English and Ukrainian languages;
  • Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point;

    TERMS OF WORK
