With more than 40 years of experience forging multisector partnerships and with expertise in science, economics, technology, advocacy, and dozens of other specialties, PATH develops and scales up innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing heath challenges.Program Officer will undertake their duties in collaboration with the STBCEU Chief of Party and Director on Public Health. They will closely collaborate with the Government structures (Ministry of Health, Public Health Center, local state administrations, etc.), national and international partners. Program Officer will be facilitating the implementation of project activities related to restoration of essential health services in Ukraine and Global Health Security activities (AMR, surveillance, infection control) in the two main pillars: protect access to communicable disease services and immediate restoration & rehabilitation.Responsibilities:Coordinate the project activities on infection control. Support the MOH and Center for Public Health, regional Centers for disease control and prevention with the analysis and use of information to drive the decision-making and prioritize response efforts. Coordinate the project activities on AMR. Oversee development and support implementation of IC measures and recommendations in health care facilities in project supported regions and hromadas. Support the development and implementation of guidelines on infection control, AMR and health care acquired infections surveillance. Contribute to strategic planning of overall health care recovery activities. Supervise consultants and ensure the quality of their deliverables. Collect information, produce, and disseminate reports and documents as required. Oversee capacity building strategy and activities of the national and regional health workers needs and IC programs. Support the capacity building of IC departments in health care facilities and regional Centers of diseases control and prevention. Communicate successes and new developments to the donor, project stakeholders and key partners and actively brief them on opportunities for cooperation. Support coordination of training activities on crosscutting topics. Travel as requested by PATH to project sites. Desired qualifications:Extensive trainings in infection control public health, epidemiology, or infectious diseasesMore than 5 years of work experience in public healthExperience working with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Public Health Center and regional health authorities. Experience in conduction of IC trainings, development of training programs and materials. Extensive experience in coordination of multiple partners and stakeholders. Fluent Ukrainian, both verbally and in writing. Professional command in English is desirable. Strong organizational and management skills.
