The organization "Man in Need" has been operating in Ukraine since the beginning of August 2014, and since then, humanitarian programs have been rapidly expanding. At this time, "Lyudyna v bidi" is one of the main humanitarian organizations in Ukraine that provides neutral and independent humanitarian assistance to people affected by the conflict.

General information about the employee role:

The program specialist provides support for the program department in the region. The program specialist works closely with engineers and the program administrator.

Description of general responsibilities:

Internal relationship: 

Works closely with civil engineers and WASH engineers. Coordinates with other program departments, the department of communication, logistics and finance.  

External relations:

Establishes and develops relations with local authorities, other organizations carrying out humanitarian activities and the territories of the region. 

Typical duties and responsibilities

- Responsible for needs assessment and contextual analysis.   

- Responsible for document management of water supply, hygiene and sanitation programs. 

- Supports the work of implementation partners. 

- Implements water supply, hygiene and sanitation programs.

- Responsible for selection of beneficiaries, communication with beneficiaries, processing of personal data of beneficiaries.

- Provides program reports (weekly report, donor reports, annual reports).

- Responsible for organizing archiving on SharePoint and ELO.

- May be involved in other humanitarian aid activities carried out by the organization.

Qualification requirements:

Education and specialty:  

Higher education (bachelor's degree or higher).

Experience in the profession:

Preferably at least 1 year.

Necessary knowledge:

Work experience of 1 year or more in the field of humanitarian response (preferably in the field of water supply, hygiene and sanitation, non-food aid, monetary aid), construction, social field or other field related to work with vulnerable categories of persons.

Necessary skills and qualities:

- Skills of working with vulnerable categories of persons;  

- Registration skills;  

- Skills of working with computer equipment and modern gadgets;  

- Skills of assessment of needs for non-food aid, skills of organization of distribution of non-food goods, cash assistance.
