ADRA Ukraine is part of the global network of the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA), which operates in more than 130 countries. ADRA International was founded in 1956 has consultative status within the United Nations Economic and Social Council.

The main task of ADRA is to support people in need and the most vulnerable segments of the population, improving their lives, making them more active and successful in overcoming difficult life situations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organization and implementation of project activities in accordance with the schedule and budget of the project;
  • Successful implementation of the full cycle of the project that includes initiation, planning, implementation, completion and reporting;
  • Maintaining project documentation in accordance with the requirements of the Program;
  • Preparation of narrative reports;
  • Reporting to the Customer and project donor;
  • Assistance in conducting tenders;
  • Communication with the project donor and coordination of project activities with this donor;
  • Training of local project management teams;
  • Conducting program management, coordination, control of the project implemented by the Customer;
  • Management of the strategic planning process and ensurance of regular updates of information on project implementation;
  • Analysis of collected data and proposal of alternative strategies for implementation of projects and programs;
  • Organization and coordination of field teams, distribution of tasks among team members and ensuring cooperation with all necessary people to solve project tasks;
  • Compilation of reports on the implementation of programs for donors;
  • Consulting services and representation of the interests of the Customer with local authorities, donors, partner agencies to ensure that the programs comply with the rules and regulations of the donors, and that they are coordinated with the actions of other agencies;
  • Implementation of the monitoring, evaluation, accountability system in Customer’s programs: monitoring progress in accordance with goals, results, evaluation, accountability and training;
  • Carrying out regular visits for the purpose of supervision and monitoring of activities.

Selection Criteria

  • Minimum 5 years proven management experience in international aid, demonstrating the capacity to manage budgets, staff and programs, preferably with an international NGO.
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership and management in a complex international setting, excellent people management skills and interpersonal skills including the ability to develop harmonious teams and build team capacity in a cross-cultural context.
  • Representational skills including experience developing networks and relationships with government, civil society and other stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to challenges, work effectively in a cross functional, diverse and busy team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Fluent English. Ukrainian.
