Our customer, Aurora Group, is one of the world leaders in Amazon commerce. Own brands, development of products from scratch, promotion to the leaders of their category on Amazon. By joining the Aurora Group team, you get access to the world's leading Internet sales technologies. At the same time, we are a very human team, where the emphasis is on the long-term development of each team member, both professionally and financially! We are currently looking for a Product Analyst, a person who will conduct research before launching new products on Amazon. Basic duties We will describe the duties in the form of a story, so it is much easier to understand what our Product Analyst (hereinafter the analyst) does. Once the analyst received a new project from the manager - "Launch of shampoo with lavender on Amazon". To begin with, the analyst studied all similar products on Amazon, how many offers there are, what prices, characteristics of other shampoos that sell better, at what expense. I compiled all the collected information into a table. It turned out that more than 30 shampoos with lavender are sold on Amazon, but now there is a special demand for eco-shampoo without sulfates, and there are only 7 offers in this category, which makes it possible to enter this niche. After that, the analyst received from a neighboring department the contacts of 12 manufacturers (mainly China) of eco-shampoo with lavender, who are ready to produce white label products, and made a request to all manufacturers to receive samples. comparison of test goods When the goods arrived, the analyst, together with the team, arranged a large test. They checked everything, starting from the packaging (look, convenience) to testing the shampoo itself — smell, color, how it foams, how it washes artificial hair. And he even washed his head with the final samples. Of course, he carefully entered all the test results into the prepared table, and chose two winners based on the price-quality ratio. The analyst wrapped all the research results in a small presentation and gave it to the company's managers. He provided his conclusions and recommendations regarding the potential of this product, ideas to enter the eco-segment, manufacturers from whom it makes sense to order products, and other important details. This information was carefully studied by managers, after which the product was launched into development and sales, and the analyst received a good bonus and next task!
