As a Private Equity Associate within the Aerospace Leasing arm of the asset manager, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating investment opportunities, executing transactions, and managing portfolio companies within the aerospace sector. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team of professionals, gain exposure to diverse aspects of private equity investing, and contribute to the growth and success of the firms aerospace portfolio.Private Equity Associate Responsibilities:Deal Evaluation and Due Diligence:Conduct thorough financial analysis, market research, and due diligence on potential investment opportunities in the aerospace leasing sector.Evaluate target companies, assess their strategic fit, growth potential, and competitive positioning within the market.Prepare investment memos, financial models, and presentations for internal investment committee review.Transaction Execution:Assist in structuring and negotiating investment transactions, including equity investments, acquisitions, and divestitures.Collaborate with legal, financial, and operational teams to facilitate deal-closing processes.Coordinate with external advisors, investment banks, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of transactions.Portfolio Management:Support the management and monitoring of existing portfolio companies within the aerospace leasing sector.Work closely with portfolio management teams to identify value-creation opportunities, optimize operational performance, and mitigate risks.Assist in developing and implementing strategic initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and operational improvements, to enhance portfolio company performance.Market Research and Industry Analysis:Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes within the aerospace sector.Conduct in-depth research and analysis to identify emerging opportunities and potential investment themes.Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on market intelligence and industry analysis.Reporting and Communication:Prepare regular reports, presentations, and updates for internal stakeholders, including senior management and investment committee members.Communicate effectively with external partners, portfolio company management teams, and industry counterparts to facilitate information exchange and collaboration.Private Equity Associate Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or corporate finance, with exposure to aerospace, aviation, or leasing industries highly desirable.Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel; experience with valuation techniques and financial analysis.Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and interact with stakeholders at all levels.Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Passion for the aerospace industry and a keen interest in private equity investing.
