Private Equity Associate in Selby Jennings

Selby Jennings is working with private equity firm with $1.5B AUM based out of Los Angeles, CA. This firm was founded in 2016 and primarily invests in middle-market industrials, business services, and consumer businesses among others. They are investing out of two top performing funds in their vintage. The firm is seeking an associate to join their M&A team in LA that will be responsible for delivering value-added business analysis as well as defining and reporting meaningful financial and operational metrics that lead to insightful, accurate investment decision-making.Responsibilities:Sourcing and evaluating actionable investment opportunities.Managing the acquisition pipelines for current portfolio companies.Preparing investment committee reports to present to senior management.Conduct modeling and financial risk analysis of business opportunities.Perform ongoing competitive analysis and work closely with internal stakeholders to assist in the company's strategic decision-making process.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.Two years prior analytical experience in investment banking or management consulting.Exceptional analytical and financial analysis skills.Exceptional communication skills with ability to present analysis and findings in both verbal and written formats to all levels of management.
