Join us to invest in yourself, your career, and the financial world.The role:The Pre-Approval Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, file quality, and adhering to the agreed upon Service Level Agreement (SLA) while processing borrower documents. This is accomplished by obtaining and verifying necessary documentation for underwriting the loan file and communicating directly with borrowers, third-party vendors, and/or loan officers to obtain documentation for initial loan approval.What you’ll do: Communicate with borrowers and various third-party companies to obtain and review required minimum document requirements and vendor information including, but not limited to: income and disclosure documents, verification of employment, tax transcripts, financial/bank statements, and ordering updates to FHA and VA case numbers as neededVerify vendor orders are completed and returned, and invoices are received and documentedVerify all required documentation in the file is complete and accurate before submitting to underwritingResponsible for handing over a completely documented file to the Underwriter which is ready for initial underwritingComplete required loan submission checklistsManage pipeline within allotted turn timesDocument all communication related to the loan application in the conversation log.Perform other duties as assigned or requiredWhat you’ll need:Minimum of 1 year of experience in the mortgage industryAbility to calculate income and review credit report experienceAbility to communicate with borrowers Knowledge of mortgage guidelines Strong math and analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to prioritize and meet deadlinesAvailable to work varying hours and overtime if neededKnowledge of Microsoft suite (Windows) and Google suite (Google Docs, Sheets, etc.) High School Diploma or GEDMortgage experience is strongly preferredCompensation And BenefitsThe base pay range for this role is listed below.
