The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine (Chamber) is the most influential international business association serving 600+ member companies in Ukraine since 1992, delivering the united voice of American, international and Ukrainian companies, who invested more than 50 billion dollars in Ukraine and remain loyal to the country even now, during the war.

The Chamber is looking for a motivated and qualified manager to join our team. The successful candidate will manage the daily activities of the Forum of leading international financial institutions, will cooperate with international financial organizations and institutions, as well as the Government of Ukraine.

Main responsibilities:

  • Coordinate cooperation with international financial organizations and institutes for financing development, as well as the Government of Ukraine, including the organization of relevant discussions, policy-related events, and visits of international delegations with an emphasis on financial opportunities for the private sector on the way to the recovery of Ukraine;
  • Maintain dynamic relations with relevant stakeholders from the National Bank of Ukraine, the Government, the Parliament and international financial organizations, such as the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation, the European Bank reconstruction and development, etc.;
  • Analyze the legislative and regulatory environment to identify risks and opportunities for the business community;
  • Develop content for publication on the website under "Ukraine's Recovery"; >
  • To promote the activities of the Forum among current and potential members;
  • Coordinate and manage the day-to-day activities of the Forum, including the drafting of agendas, minutes, reports and subsequent business correspondence, as well as the organization of monthly meetings of the following Forum platforms: the Anti-Money Laundering Working Group, the Principals' Club risk managers, club of chief financial directors;
  • Proactively inform Forum members about all current events in relevant areas in order to receive feedback and its generalization;
  • Maintain internal communication among Forum members in English and Ukrainian languages;
  • Ensure the implementation of Forum priorities, maintaining the appropriate level of efficiency and success;
  • Represent and express the position of the Forum during meetings with interested parties;
  • Coordinate internal discussions and development of products of the Forum's activities, including position and analytical documents, amendments and proposals to legislative and regulatory acts, statements, in particular in social media and mass media, together with the communications team;
  • Organize meetings with stakeholders and other relevant parties to promote the priorities of the Forum;
  • Prepare abstracts of speeches for the leadership of the Chamber for meetings with stakeholders;
  • Perform other tasks, as necessary and as instructed by the managementa.

Basic skills:

  • Developed analytical skills that allow understanding banking topics and issues, as well as preparing draft letters /position documents/statements;
  • Ability to carefully monitor the legislative and regulatory environment and identify potentially problematic issues for Chamber member companies, as well as develop effective action plans to solve them;
  • Ability to coordinate , as well as quickly and qualitatively implement the decisions made in accordance with internal procedures and values;
  • The ability to promote initiatives aimed at improving legislative and regulatory acts in the relevant areas, as well as develop a vision of the ways of work and development of the Committees;

  • Fluency in English and Ukrainian;
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally;

  • Government/NGO experience would be an advantage.

Policy Officer (FLIFI)

The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine (AmCham Ukraine) is Ukraine's most powerful international business association that has been serving 600+ members in Ukraine since 1992, delivering the shared voice of US, international, and Ukrainian companies, which invested over $50 billion in Ukraine and remain committed to the country until today, during the war .

AmCham Ukraineis seeking a motivated and skilled Policy Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will manage the daily operations of the Forum of Leading International Financial Institutions (FLIFI), cooperation with the international financial institutions (IFIs) and development finance institutions (DFIs), as well as the Government of Ukraine (GoU). 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the cooperation with the IFIs and DFIs as well as the GoU, including arranging relevant discussions, policy-related events , and international delegation visits with a focus on financial opportunities for the private sector on the path of Ukraine's recovery;
  • Maintain dynamic relationships with relevant stakeholders from Ukraine's central bank, government, parliament, and IFIs, such as the IMF, World Bank, IFC, EBRD, etc.;
  • Analyze policy developments to identify risks and opportunities for the business community;
  • Develop content for publishing on the website for Ukraine’s Recovery section;
  • Promote FLIFI activities among current and prospective members;
  • Coordinate and manage day-to-day operations of the FLIFI platform, including drafting agenda, minutes, reports, and follow-up business correspondence and organizing monthly meetings within the following platforms: Anti-Money Laundering Working Group, Chief Risk Officers Club, Chief Financial Officers Club;
  • Maintain internal communication among FLIFI members in English and Ukrainian;
  • Prepare and facilitate the implementation of the FLIFI priorities and ensure proper effectiveness and success rate;
  • Present and voice the FLIFI position during meetings with stakeholders;
  • Proactively inform the FLIFI members on all related developments in relevant spheres, gathering and compiling feedback thereon;
  • Coordinate internal discussions and development of the FLIFI products, including position and analytical papers, amendments and proposals to legislation and regulatory acts, statements, as well as social media and media engagements together with the Communications Team;
  • Arrange meetings with stakeholders and other relevant parties to move the FLIFI priorities forward;
  • Prepare talking points for the AmCham Ukraine Leadership for the meetings with stakeholders;
  • Performing other tasks as assigned by the AmCham Ukraine Leadership.

Essential Skills:

  • Solid analytical background enabling the individual to understand banking-related topics and issues as well as draft letters/ position papers/ statements;
  • Proven experience in policy analysis, stakeholder coordination, or project management;
  • Ability to thoroughly monitor the legislative and regulatory environment and identify the potentially problematic issues for AmCham Ukraine member companies, further develop effective action plans for their mitigation;
  • Ability to coordinate and move forward with the implementation of taken decisions in a quick and high-quality manner, in line with internal procedures and values;
  • Motivated quick learner, able to set and reach task-related goals;
  • Ability to advance initiatives aimed at the improvement of legislative and normative acts in relevant spheres;
  • Proficient English and Ukrainian language skills;
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally;
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a solid customer-driven focus;
  • Team player able to work within organizations' policies and procedures with limited supervision;
  • Experience in government institutions/ NGOs would be advantageous.
