- Development and improvement of tools for monitoring Service Platforms to provide quality Services.
- Development of automation tools to improve the efficiency of working with Service Platforms. Drive efficiencies in cloud and on-prem footprints through a data-driven approach to design decisions.
- Be a first responder to platform alerts, monitor our products for issues, prioritize, triage them, and assess client impact. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quick resolution in accordance with SLA.
Responsibilities
- Organize and participate in the maintenance of Service Platforms.
- Profound analysis and monitoring of Service Platforms performance.
- Configuration of the infrastructure for efficient and stable operation of the platform.
- Designing, developing, and implementing new systems, additional services, and support tools for existing systems.
- Participate in the testing and evaluation of new Service Solution samples.
- Detect issues, identify them (affected systems, locations, responsible teams) and respond in a timely manner by utilizing internal procedures.
- Document incidents, perform root cause analysis and inform responsible Leads.
- Investigate and resolve traffic-related issues, such as message delivery failures, network congestion, system errors, etc.
- Identification and resolution of potential issues with our platforms and services.
- Collaborate with service providers on maintenance, planning and support of existing platforms.
Required skills and qualifications

- Engineering or support background and passion for a role with 1 – 2 years of prior experience in the same or similar jobs
- Experienced with tools for monitoring systems (Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix)
- Advanced skills in working with databases (Oracle [preferred], MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Redis)
- Working with Firewall commands (Iptables, Cisco ASA, strongSwan)
- Experience in the telecom industry
- Understanding of the principles of GSM network construction Technical knowledge in the field of SMS messaging:
- Understanding of SMPP and SS7 protocols, as well as their key technical aspects
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering
- 3+ year previous experience in engineering role
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and internet application fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, load balancing, etc)
- An understanding of computer science fundamentals and practical experience developing distributed systems.
- Programming language (Python/Java/GO/Ruby)
- Experienced in working with Linux
