Who is our client?

We are hiring for an innovative music education company offering the most fun and engaging music lessons around primary schools. Being based in the UK and a big venture challenge business award winner, their outreach is spread across the globe. The team is now starting to innovate and reinvigorate their white-label web application to get ready for launch. You will have the opportunity to work with a vibrant, positive and passionate team that is focused on creating the best possible outcome for their growing business and franchisees globally.

What is our client looking for?

A PHP Developer with 2+ years of experience who is curious, a top-class communicator and knows how to prioritise and deliver. With something that is still being redeveloped, this person will be proactive and ready to solve complex problems with the team, plan and implement for the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications using PHP and Laravel framework.
• Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and implement new features and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Experience and skill requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of commercial experience in PHP development.
• Advanced English (spoken and written)
• Strong proficiency in Laravel framework.
• Proven experience working in small team environments.
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with version control tools, preferably Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Nice to haves:

• Experience with VueJS and InertiaJS.
• Knowledge of Tailwind CSS framework.
