Our culture, values and people create an environment of sustained medical excellence.Position SummaryThe Payroll Specialist 1 processes and distributes payroll and payroll information in a timely and accurate manner while meeting all Federal and State regulations as well as Asante policies.As a Payroll Specialist for Asante, you will have the opportunity to:Process Bi-Weekly payrolls to ensure the accurate and timely payment of wages to all Asante employeesProvide payroll and productivity information to managers and other employees to enable them to perform their jobs more effectivelyProcess termination, retro and correction check requests made between pay dates to ensure accurate and timely paymentsAttend department meetings, actively participate in discussions and offer suggestions to resolve problems and improve proceduresAttend any available training to promote knowledge of pay practices and increase knowledge of software systemsDeliver outstanding customer service to meet the needs of external and internal customersQualificationsEducationHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as needed for the position is requiredAssociate degree in business administration, accounting or related field, preferredExperienceMinimum 2 years of relevant clerical/administrative experience, including experience working with payroll, time and attendance and scheduling systems, is requiredWhat We OfferCompetitive starting wageComprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and wellnessExcellent retirement package with up to 6% employer contributionGenerous Earned Time OffTuition reimbursement after one year of serviceAbout Asante And Southern OregonAsante is a local, community owned and governed, not-for-profit organization that provides comprehensive health care services to more than 550,000 people in a nine-county area of Southern Oregon and Northern California.
