POSITION PURPOSE:< /p>

The Partnership and Learning Assistant will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the Country Strategic Plan, ensuring that Save the Children benefits from mutually beneficial and sustainable partnerships for achieving shared goals and outcomes for children while strengthening civil society. The Partnerships and Training Assistant will work with the Partnerships team in both the Eastern Regional Office and the Representation and Programs teams to ensure that partners are supported and their capacity is strengthened when needed. The Partnership and Learning Assistant will be responsible for establishing communications, overseeing administrative tasks, and assisting in establishing and maintaining strong partnerships. This role requires attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

KEY DUTIES:< /p>

  • Assist in the development and implementation of a partnership strategy on at the local level

  • Provide support in identifying and exploring new partnerships that will support the implementation of the Save the Country Strategic Plan Children

  • Establish connections and identify potential partners for joint work

  • < li>

    Perform stakeholder and partner mapping as required for new and ongoing projects

  • Identify networking opportunities and attend conferences and events to expand knowledge of potential partners' expertise

  • Assist with assessing the organization's capacity against Save the Children tools and procedures to attract new implementing partners

RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:

  • Regularly update Save the Children's partnership map and all relevant trackers in the partnership department 

  • At the request of the management of the regional office or representative office, provide the necessary data regarding the portfolio of partners and the results of their activities

  • In coordination with Save the Children, the technical department, the support department and the MEAL department, assist in regular monitoring visits to partners to obtain feedback on the development and needs of the organization.

  • Act as an additional point of contact for partners by responding to inquiries, relaying messages and facilitating communication between partners and internal stakeholders. 

  • Provide logistical support to partner meetings, including planning, agenda preparation, and organizing required resources or materials 

  • Provide support in the organization of kick-off meetings 

  • Establish and maintain favorable relations with partners, demonstrating professionalism, responsiveness and persistence in meeting their requirements and expectations 

  • Monitor relevant technical, operational, financial, human resources and grants issues and facilitate support from relevant SC technical or operational teams to ensure continuous support and engagement at all stages of the program cycle.

  • Provide support in conducting regular partner assessment meetings involving partner representatives and relevant SC program staff

  • Assist with partnership tasks and initiatives, collaborating with others to ensure prompt completion and successful outcome 

  • Support other departments in their communication with partners to promote effective collaboration, increase transparency and ensure a smooth and productive exchange of information.

Partner capacity building:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including partnership and program officers, to align learning initiatives with partnership goals and objectives 

  • Monitor partner capacity building activities and display them in trackers and reports

  • Addassist in the creation and preparation of training materials, ensuring they are relevant, up-to-date and meet the needs of SCI partners

  • Provide administrative support training programs, for example, keeping records of participants and tracking attendance, as well as organizing feedback surveys.

  • In collaboration with the partnership team, ensure that partners are well informed and provide all beneficiaries with ongoing, appropriate up to their age, oral or written information in appropriate languages ​​about the Save the Children Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct

Other:

  • Other tasks on demand manager, including administrative work under sub-grant agreements 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:< /p>

  • Higher education in the field of development studies or in relevant technical field. 

Key competencies: 

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in the humanitarian sector/with NGOs, community-based program planning 

  • Perfect knowledge of civil society organizations, international non-governmental organizations, government structures 

  • Good training, facilitation and capacity building skills 

  • Proven experience of field representation with key stakeholders 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, Ukrainian and Russian (preferred)

  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills

  • Attention to cultural and political peculiarities, tolerance, diplomatic tact

  • Computer literacy (including working knowledge of Microsoft Office) and the ability to conduct research using an online resource.

  • Analytical skills 

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and care in handling confidential information

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Partnership & training assistant will beresponsible for supporting the implementation of Save the Children’s Country Strategic Plan with, ensuring that Save the Children benefits from mutually beneficial and sustainable partnerships to achieve joint objectives and results for children while strengthening civil society. The Partnership training assistant will collaborate with the partnership team in both the East Area office and the Country Office and Program teams to ensure that partners receive support and their capacities, as appropriate, are strengthened. The Partnership training assistant will be accountable for facilitating communication, overseeing administrative tasks, and assisting in the establishment and upkeep of robust partner relationships. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are required for this role.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  •  Assist the partnerships strategy development and implementation at the field level.
  • Support with Identification and exploring a new partnership that will support the implementation of Save the Children’s Country Strategic Plan
  •  Network and identify protentional partners for collaborative work 
  • Conduct stakeholder and partners mapping as required for new and ongoing projects. 
  •  Identify networking opportunities and attend conferences and events to expand knowledge on potential partners’ expertise.
  •  Assist with organizational capacity assessment in line with Save the Children tools and procedures to onboard new implementing partners.

Relationship management:

  • Regularly update Save the Children’s partnership mapping and all relevant trackers in the partnership department.
  •  Upon request of AO or CO leadership provide necessary data regarding partnership portfolio and partners performance
  •  In coordination with Save the Children program, technical, support and MEAL departments, assist in regularly monitoring visits to partners to get feedback on organizational development and needs
  • Serve as an additional point of contact for partners, responding to inquiries, relaying messages, and facilitating communication between partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide logistics support for partnership meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas and arranging necessary resources or materials
  • Support with organizing the kick-off meetings.
  •  Establish and sustain favorable relationships with partners, exhibiting professionalism, responsiveness, and a steadfastness towards meeting their requirements and expectations.
  • Keep track of relevant technical, operational, finance, HR or award issues and facilitate support from relevant SC technical or operations teams to ensure continuous support and involvement at all stages of the program cycle.
  •  Support with conducting partner review meetings on regular basis with representation from partner and relevant SC program staff. 
  •  Assist with partnership-related tasks and initiatives, collaborating with others to ensure prompt completion and successful outcomes.
  •  Support other departments in their communication with partners to facilitate effective collaboration, enhance transparency, and ensure that the exchange of information is smooth and productive manners. 

Capacity Strengthening of Partners:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including Partnership and Program Specialists, to align training initiatives with partnership goals and objectives.
  • Monitoring capacity building activities for partners and reflect them in the trackers and reports. 
  • Help with the creation and preparation of instructional materials, ensuring they're current, up to-date, and geared towards meeting the demands of SCI partners.
  •  Provide administrative support for training programs, such as maintaining participant records and tracking attendance, as well as organizing feedback surveys.
  •  In collaboration with Partnership team ensures that partners are well aware and providing all beneficiaries with ongoing, age-appropriate verbal or written information in relevant languages about Save the Children’s Child Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct

  •  Other tasks as required by manager, including administrative work on sub-grant agreements.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  •  University Degree in development studies or relevant technical field.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Minimum 1 year work experience in the humanitarian sector/with NGOs, based programming or community-based programming
  • Thorough knowledge of civil society organisations, international non-governmental organisations, government structures
  • Good training, facilitation and capacity building skills
  • Proven experience in field level representation with key stakeholders
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills of English, Ukrainian and Russian (required)
  •  Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
  • Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy;
  • Computer literate (including working knowledge of Microsoft Office) and ability to do internet-based research.
