Paralegal - Investigator in BBVA

Position Title: Investigator (Legal Compliance)Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Investigator (Legal Compliance) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess significant knowledge of Title IX, the Clery Act, and federal civil rights laws. They will have a strong understanding of complex legal analysis, reaching legally sound determinations and will have prior experience with alternative dispute resolution practices. Familiarity with witness interview techniques and conducting investigations is crucial. An aptitude for effective communication, including excellent oral and written skills, is essential in this role.Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive investigations into allegations of misconduct, discrimination, and other breaches of legal compliance. Interpret and implement policies related to Title IX, the Clery Act, and other federal civil rights laws. Provide expert understanding and interpretation of case law and agency directives. Utilize witness interview techniques and investigation strategies in a sensitive and effective manner. Execute comprehensive legal analysis, reaching legally sound determinations that align with company policies and federal law. Implement alternative dispute resolution practices where necessary. Document investigations, including interviews, findings, and resolutions. Liaise with relevant stakeholders such as legal teams, human resources, and management. Provide guidance on preventive measures and compliance education. Maintain current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and trends in the field of legal compliance., - Constant attention to detail and accuracy, confidentiality Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset Ability to take ownership of projects, writing and negotiating, planning and organizing 3+ years of relevant experience Comprehensive knowledge of Employee Relations Investigations Proficiency in employee employment law Employer employment law experience preferred ERISA employee benefits experience preferred Should be savvy with word processing and spreadsheets Strong problem solving and analytical skillsIt's a fantastic opportunity to foster case management skills and client relationships, as well as deliver training to support staff.
