About Us

We are an early stage miltech startup building a technology product for defense applications. We work at a fast pace, test a lot, make quick decisions and constantly adapt the product to real feedback from the field.

We are currently looking for an Operations Manager to help the team streamline processes, coordinate work between technical and non-technical areas, and also partially close functions of project management and product coordination.

This is a role for someone who likes to structure chaos, keep dozens of parallel tasks in sight and help the team move faster and more systematically.

Main tasks

• Coordinate the daily operational work of the team
• Synchronize the interaction between engineers, test team, production, recruiting and management
• Organize regular work meetings, record agreements and monitor execution tasks
• Help structure the backlog, priorities, development stages and internal processes
• Support project planning: deadlines, responsible, dependencies, risks, blockers
• Collect and systematize feedback from the team, tests, users and external stakeholders
• Help the team formulate and test product hypotheses
• Maintain operational control in key areas: development, testing, recruitment, procurement, logistics, documentation
• Identify weak points in processes and offer practical solutions
• Ensure that important tasks do not hang between teams or people
• Maintain transparency of statuses on tasks and directions for founders / management
• Help with the organization of external activities: partner communications, applications, basic preparation of materials, coordination with contractors
• If necessary, take on separate product / project owner functions in specific internal directions

What is important to us

• Experience in the position of Operations Manager / Project Manager / Program Manager / Product Operations / Chief of Staff / Delivery Manager
• Experience in a technological environment: hardware, embedded, robotics, UAV, R&D, engineering team, manufacturing or IT product
• Ability to structure uncertainty and turn chaos into a clear process
• Strong people and task coordination skills without micromanagement
• Ability to work in an environment where everything changes quickly
• High level of self-organization, responsibility and system thinking
• Ability to press tasks to the result
• Skill to fix agreements, conduct follow-up, keep the team focused
• Ability to work with several streams of tasks at the same time
• Experience with task trackers and planning tools
• Competent Ukrainian language; working English will be an advantage
• Willingness to dive deeply into the context of the product and the team

Would be an advantage

• Experience in miltech / defense tech / dual-use companies
• Understanding hardware product life cycle: R&D, prototyping, testing, iterations, manufacturing
• Experience coordinating engineering teams
• Experience working with UAV / UAS / embedded / avionics / robotics
• Experience launching or scaling processes in an early-stage startup
• Understanding the basic principles of product management
• Experience interacting with recruiting, procurement, production or field teams
• Willingness to be the right hand of the founder / technical leader in operations questions

What will NOT be the main task of this role

• Make technical decisions independently instead of engineers
• Manage the team from above without diving into the context
• Be only an administrator of calendars and meetings

This role is about coordinating, organizing, prioritizing, monitoring execution and supporting a team, not formal management.
