Greenland">in partnership with the Danish Council for Refugeesrequests a safety and security specialist normal">aimed at supporting the population affected by the armed conflict in the Kharkiv region, as well as women who have survived or are at risk of gender-based violence.
Main tasks:
- Development, implementation and regular updating of safety and occupational health plans for projects in accordance with internal policies and international standards;
- Control of compliance with safety protocols during all project activities, including visits to field locations;
- Identification, assessment and monitoring of potential risks for staff, trainers and event participants;
- Conducting regular briefings, trainings and education on security issues for staff;
- Coordinating actions in case of emergency situations and ensuring prompt response;
- Interaction with local authorities, partners and other stakeholders on safety and occupational health issues;
- Preparation of reports on the state of safety, incidents, potential risks and recommendations for their minimization;
- Management consulting and teams on occupational health and safety, safety and risk management best practices.
Candidate requirements:
- Experience in safety, occupational health and safety, risk management or HSE/Safety Officer (experience in the humanitarian sector will be an advantage);
- Knowledge of national and international security standards;
- Responsibility, ability to make quick decisions in stressful situations;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Possess Ukrainian language, knowledge of English will be an advantage.
