Network development engineer in Starlight Media

And today the Department of Network Development Starlight Media invites to its team an Engineer (ku) of network development.

Your tasks will be:

• building and ensuring uninterrupted operation of the company's communication channels and telecommunications equipment, TV channel signals;
• interaction with providers, organization and support of fault-tolerant access to the TV channel signal;
• regulation and resolution of incidents related to failures in the signal delivery system;
• market analysis of telecommunications technologies and equipment, making proposals for network modernization;
• configuration and support of network monitoring systems.

Our expectations from you:

• higher education, preferably technical (telecommunications, telecommunications systems and networks);
• 3 years of experience in a similar position - desirable;
• experience in the administration of OC Linux/FreeBSD systems - desirable;
• knowledge of the basics of modern telecommunications technologies, the principles of building data transmission channels (networks), network protocols;
• experience of working with active and passive telecommunication network equipment (switches, routers, multiplexers, optical cross, transceivers);
• experience of integration of various technologies and solutions into a single working system or network;
• experience of conducting tests (latency, bandwidth);
• knowledge of network equipment and network technologies (VLANand analogues, VPN/IPSec, IKEv2, NAT/PAT, SNMP, Ethernet, TCP/IP), dynamic routing protocols: OSPF, BGP;
• experience with: Cesbo Astra, Nimble Streamer, FFmpeg, Zabbix, Nginx;
• experience in configuring L2/L3 Ethernet switches;
• personal qualities: responsibility, efficiency, partnership, initiative.
