IsraAID's mission is to support people affected by humanitarian crises by partnering with local communities around the world to provide immediate relief, facilitate recovery and reduce the risks of future disasters.
IsraAID has been operating in Ukraine since the beginning of 2022, when the organization responded to urgent humanitarian needs, that arose as a result of the war. Since then, we have shifted our focus to implementing a long-term program strategy, including health, water and sanitation (WaSH), mental health and psychosocial support programmes.
IsraAID's work in Ukraine contributes to sustainable and inclusive problem solving with special attention to building resilience of communities to future challenges, as well as close cooperation with leaders of communities, regions and nations.
Multidisciplinary Program Manager will be responsible for coordinating projects in WaSH, Protection and Health. Key tasks include planning, managing teams, monitoring progress and interacting with partners. Project management experience and strong leadership skills are essential.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Development and planning:
- Definition of goals and objectives for projects within programs
- Development of strategic plans and work schedules that take into account the needs of different areas
- Coordinating priorities and resources for achievement set goals
2. Project management:
- Coordination of work between teams and sectors involved in the implementation of programs
- Ensuring timely completion of tasks within established budgets and deadlines
- Tracking and control over the quality of project implementation
3. Monitoring and reporting:
- Together with the team, regular monitoring of project progress, analysis of results and proposal of necessary corrective measures
- Preparation of reports on the status of program implementation
- Together with the team, conducting an assessment of the effectiveness and impact of projects based on established indicators
4. Coordination of resources:
- Ensuring optimal use of human, financial and material resources
- Management of project budgets, cost control and ensuring compliance of financial costs with planned resources
5. Interaction with stakeholdersparties:
- Maintaining constant communication with partners and other stakeholders
- Ensuring effective communication between teams working in different sectors
- Involving and supporting cooperation with new partners
6. Risk management:
- Identifying potential risks associated with project implementation and developing strategies to minimize them
- Developing emergency response plans and ensuring team readiness for their implementation
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCES
