The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral, and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance. The ICRC is mandated to work in countries affected by armed conflict or other situations of violence. The ICRC is present in over 100 countries and has some 18,000 staff worldwide. In 2014, the ICRC expanded its presence in Ukraine. Currently, we have over 900 team members working across the county in various professional fields.
About the job
The ICRC Movement Cooperation Department is seeking a highly capable Movement Cooperation Officer to join our team in Odesa. The Movement Cooperation Officer assists the line manager in implementing the Sub-Delegation’s Cooperation objectives. S/he contributes to implementing these with the Ukraine Red Cross Society (URCS) in Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson at regional, hromada and raion levels in line with the ICRC’s Cooperation policy, and the Delegation’s strategy for partnership. S/he works for maintaining a healthy partnership, closely works with operational programs for effective program implementation and makes regular field visits to the said URCS branches for facilitating the operational partnership and strengthening the URCS capacities as well as keeping the hierarchy informed of the changes in the field.
