Place of work: OdesaResponsible position: Sr Protection Monitoring and Information officer, UkraineDirect reports: N/AInternal cooperation in IRC: Sr Legal Officer, Legal Officers, Case Workers, PRoL ManagerExternal cooperation in IRC: Entities, organizations and departments of the protection and information service Job duties Connections: The community mobilizer PROL will be responsible for visiting communities, collective living centers, transit centers and other hubs, collecting data and information from internally displaced persons and other war-affected population groups in Ukraine, providing operational information and redirecting people with immediate needs to relevant services providing assistance The community mobilizer will be based in Odesa and will make frequent trips to the settlements of Odesa and Mykolaiv regions. The responsibilities of the Community Mobilizer of the Protection and Rule of Law program are as follows: Collection of data and information using monitoring tools: individual interviews, interviews with key informants, discussions in focus groups, direct observation; Regular updating of the service map in Mykolaiv and Odesa; Redirecting of persons who need additional services to the appropriate service providers in accordance with the procedures and principles of the program. Tracking of redirected cases and updating the referral tracker; Providing operational information services to the population affected by the conflict in Ukraine, collecting data on information needs by filling out a two-way communication tool; Visiting collective, transit, public, volunteer and other centers or places of accommodation of displaced persons, identification of protection problems at the community level; Preparation of payment requests for financial assistance to support collective and transit centers, in agreement with the PRoL manager; Conducting sessions to raise awareness of the population regarding their rights and access to services in cooperation with the senior legal affairs specialist and the senior protection and information monitoring specialist; Determination of those who need organization of educational activities; Conducting surveys and assessments in communities, providing feedback and proposals for the development of protection programs, including ChildProtection, WomenProtection, Health and EconomicRecoveryandDevelopment (Cash); Assisting the senior officer and manager in training and supporting volunteers (community coordination centers); If necessary, conduct an assessment of other protection needs Preparation of weekly reports based on the results of the work. Requirements: Level of language proficiency: Ukrainian, Russian - fluent, good command of English Previous experience in conducting sociological research, interviews, providing consultations Experience in organizing group work, trainings, working groups and mentoring others Excellent communication skills - the ability to demonstrate empathy Skills maintain confidentiality and respect for clients/beneficiaries Positive and professional attitude to work, including the ability to lead and work in a team High level of flexibility, ability to organize work independently, meet deadlines, maintain composure under stressful situations, prioritize work under pressure, ability to multitasksno, with particular attention to detail Standards of professional conduct IRC and IRC staff must adhere to the values and principles set out in the IRC Code of Conduct The IRC Way.
