We're looking for a JavaScript developer to join the Web SDK team and help build a more accessible web for everyone. In this role, you will participate in the development and maintenance of SDKs that enable developers to create inclusive web applications.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain JavaScript Node.js SDK for accessibility testing engine using frameworks such as Webdriver.io, Cypress and Playwright
  • Extend the functionality of existing frameworks to improve testing capabilities and ensure efficient developer work
  • Work with the team to coordinate SDK frameworks, ensuring consistency and ease of support across tools
  • Participate in the Scrum process - planning, evaluating and implementing new features and bug fixes
  • Ensure the reliability and usability of the SDK by following best practices in coding, testing and documentation
  • Stay informed the latest in JavaScript, web development, and accessibility technologies

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working with the JavaScript programming language and its ecosystem
  • Hands-on experience with Vanilla JS
  • Proven experience with test automation frameworks such as Webdriver.io, Cypress, and Playwright
  • Deep understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS and DOM manipulation
  • Knowledge of JavaScript build tools and bundlers such as Webpack, Rollup or Parcel
  • Knowledge of JavaScript testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha or Jasmine
  • Experience with version control systems, including Git and GitHub
  • Understanding of accessibility principles and guidelines (WCAG, WAI-ARIA)
  • Testing and debugging experience cross-browser compatibility
  • Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and knowledge of tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI or CircleCI
  • Upper-Intermediate English language skills
