Middle QA Engineer (macOS) for Setapp in MacPaw

We’re looking for the Middle QA Engineer (macOS) for the Setapp team.

Setapp is MacPaw’s subscription-based app service for macOS and iOS. It provides access to 240+ Mac and iOS apps for daily tasks that cover such categories as productivity, lifestyle, web development, Mac maintenance, creativity, writing, education, and personal finance. As a QA Engineer (macOS), you will have a crucial role in providing the necessary quality level on a product that is used by millions of users every day.

In this role, you will:

• Update existing and create new documentation to cover tested features or parts of the product
• Test product part/feature on positive, negative, and ad-hoc scenarios according to the platform, taking into account information security principles
• Create test documentation based on requirements analysis and business needs considering UX design, platform requirements, and security compliance, and identify missing parts to be covered or improved
• Integrate and maintain an up-to-date state test flow as a part of the software development cycle of product/services
• Test a product/modules by choosing relevant testing techniques and testing instruments such as automation testing (creating new ones if needed) to provide the necessary quality level
• Influence on product/service decisions by proposing new ideas, expressing doubts, and validating existent solutions based on own technical expertise
• In cooperation with the team define the required technical infrastructure and work environment

Skills you’ll need to bring:

• Practical experience with different test techniques
• Maintain testing flow on the project
• Experience with different types of testing artifacts
• Practical experience with version control systems (GIT)
• Practical experience with CI/CD processes and tools
• Experience with Swift or similar programming languages
• Practical experience with test automation (UI, API, End-to-End)

As a plus:

• Experience with mobile testing and desktop testing (macOS, Windows, Linux)
• Experience with Test Environment preparation
