Middle QA automation engineer in ELLO Messenger

Responsibilities:

• Automated Test Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure the quality of software applications (WEB, IOS, Android), selecting the appropriate tools and frameworks for the project.
• Test Execution and Reporting: Execute automated tests as part of continuous integration processes, analyze results, identify issues and trends, and report them to the development team.
• Integration and Regression Testing: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline and conduct regression testing to ensure stability in new releases.
• Bug Reporting and Analysis: Identify and report software defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Documentation: Document test procedures, test cases, and automation scripts for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance the automation testing process for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
• Quality Metrics and Process Improvement: Monitor quality metrics like defect densities and open defect counts, suggesting and implementing improvements to the automated testing process.
• Collaboration with Development Team: Collaborate closely with software developers and other QA engineers to understand features and technical implementation, ensuring high-quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.
• Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify, isolate, and track bugs during testing, providing detailed bug reports and working with the team to resolve issues efficiently.

• Tool and Technology Research: Stay updated with the latest testing tools, strategies, and trends to improve test automation and continuous testing efforts.

   

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5 years of experience in QA automation or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience with Automation Frameworks: Experience with frameworks such as Selenium, TestComplete, or Cypress, Calabash.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly identify problems in software applications and create automated tests to validate that issues have been resolved.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and document test processes and results.

Nice to Have:

• Background with messenger or social media apps. Experience in the field of social media networks and their specifics will be a plus.
