Open Role: Engenious is looking to hire a back-end NodeJS Developer middle level to our team

What makes a good NodeJS Developer? Ability to think like a developer, fully understand what project managers and product owners expect, and to imagine what end-users need and how they will interact with the product. Ability to bring together strategy, technology, and expertise to optimize the development process. We expect a candidate to be proactive, self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, have wide industry knowledge and bring initiatives to the team’s table.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and prioritize scope for development tasks while considering business needs, customer risks, and efficiency improvement.
• Write clean Node.js, Express.js, and SQL code to develop functional server-side applications
• Perform unit tests to optimize performance
• Code review other team members Pull Requests

Requirements:

• 3+ years of working professionally with NodeJS frameworks such as express.js, nest.js.
• In-depth knowledge of client-server architecture and Rest API
• Experience with Agile practice (Scrum, Code Review, Pair programming)
• Strong database knowledge, specifically mongoDB, postgreSQL, Redis
• Be comfortable with Linux environment
• Typescript knowledge
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Practical experience with unit testing tools.
• Communicating to the QA team “how” and “what” needs to be tested
• English — Upper intermediate is a must

It will be a plus:

• Knowledge of GCP, AWS will be a huge plus
• Experience with Docker is a big plus
• Experience with web servers such as Nginx
• The ability to configure CI/CD using Jenkins or analogies
