Perform second day operations like: backups, monitoring, upgrades, etc. Tomeet highest SLA ever for our databases guys jumps “behind the scenes” ofdevelopment kitchen and helps with performance bottlenecks and application issues Platform operations: Here we’re cooking IaC, Configuration management ontop of*nix systems (Wehave more than 2kVMs BTW). Platform engineers areresponsible for infrastructure provisioning automation (Terraform), building base images, automation ofnetwork services like DNS, CI/CD processes across bank services, service monitoring, Kubernetes infrastructure provisioning, service provisioning and automation forit. Platform operations team provides services for DevOps guys indomains, developers, other infrastructure engineers.
