Our client is from Germany and we are looking for an experienced software engineer to maintain and develop Mobile and Web Applications. Application is used in canteens of German schools to serve food for students and to be a link between catering companies and parents.
Responsibilities
- Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient PHP code
- Implementing complex features and functionalities adhering to company standards and expectations
- Contributing to project planning and estimation, understanding business requirements, and translating them into technical tasks
- Consistently create well-designed and testable code using best practices for web development
- Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing applications and platforms
- Identifying and fixing bugs in existing code. Analyzing problems and implementing solutions
- Integrating third-party services and APIs
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation for code and systems
- Writing and executing unit tests, and working with the QA team to ensure the quality of the code
- Interacting with clients to understand their requirements or to provide technical support
- Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with external stakeholders
- Working closely with other team members, including other developers, designers, project managers, and stakeholders
- Participating in code reviews
- Mentoring peers and actively participating in knowledge-sharing activities
Requirements
- Professional experience as a software engineer — 3+ years
- Proven experience building responsive user interfaces for web applications
- Professional experience working with PHP 7.4 and Laravel 7+ (or Symphony)
- Knowledge of MySQL
- Good knowledge of Vue 2 / HTML / CSS / JavaScript (preferable)
- Hands on experience with Linux OS
- Proficiency in working with RESTful APIs and integrating various web services,
- Docker
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- English — strong upper-intermediate and above, both written and verbal
