Middle Full Stack Node/React Engineer in Valtech

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Middle Full Stack Node/React Engineer to join our global team of 6,000 professionals in more than 60 offices worldwide.

The client is a UK-based large global company with several digital retailers. It is the number one destination for shoppers who value flexible payment options. It receives over 2.2 million visits every day. The client is focused on modernizing its existing systems and platforms, utilizing a wider variety of modern, cloud-based technologies.

The ideal candidate’s skills include:

• 3+ years of experience with Node.js and Typescript
• 3+ years of experience in developing applications using React.js
• Good knowledge of styled-components
• Experience with Jest
• Experience with Cypress
• Hands-on experience with AWS Services — Lambdas, ECS, API Gateways, Events
• Upper-Intermediate English level
• Accountability, strong communication, collaboration, and time-management skills
• Strong desire to learn more about business every day

Optional:

• Experience in accessibility and security testing
• Working with Gitlab pipelines
• Experience in integrations of various systems (search engines, CMS, ETL processes)
• Experience with performance optimization

The Role

As a Middle Full Stack Node/React Engineer, you’ll be expected to: 

• Design and implementation of full-stack applications using React.js, AWS Lambda
• Write high-quality code in Node.js and TypeScript
• Implement selected solutions and integrations
• Be proactive in communication with team members and client
• Proceed with the accessibility and security testing
• Organize and structure the development efforts
• Use industry best practices of development processes & tools, adopt, and improve them

As Consultant, you are expected to develop expertise both in technology and the means to communicate complex concepts and rationale to non-techies. We’ll encourage and support this with frequent opportunities to share ideas internally. We also have consultants who frequently deliver at regional, national, and global conferences.
