We are looking for a Middle Data Scientist.
It is important for us:Knowledge of Python and SQLKnowledge of libraries: pandas, numpy, pyplot, scikit-learn, tensorflow, cuda, PyTorchUnderstanding the specifics of data in a business context (seasonality, regional features, customer behavioral patterns)Practical experience working with models: classifications, regressions, clustering; decision trees, ensembles (Random Forest, XGBoost); neural networks (basic level)Knowledge of model quality metrics and the ability to interpret themUnderstanding probability theory, mathematical statistics, linear algebra and numerical methodsAbility to perform statistical analysis (hypotheses, testing, correlations)Experience with cloud tools will be plusResponsible and serious attitude to workIn our team you will:
- Collect historical data on sales, prices, inventory, marketing activity, seasonality, promotions, weather, events, etc.
- Perform pre-processing: cleaning, gap filling, transformation, data normalization
- Perform EDA (exploratory data analysis) to identify patterns in demand
- Create and train time series models (ARIMA, SARIMA, etc.) and/or machine learning models (XGBoost, Random Forest)
- Work with feature engineering to improve model accuracy
- Compare the accuracy of different models and choose the optimal approach
- Set up quality metrics (MAPE, RMSE, WAPE, sMAPE, etc.)
- Develop base and ensemble models, conduct A/B tests if necessary
- Validate models on test samples
- Conduct retraining of models in pof changes in the market environment
- Develop warning systems when accuracy decreases
- Continue monitoring the quality of forecasts
