The ideal candidate will have astrong background in Python, SQL and Rest APIdevelopment . Asa Data Engineer you will build services and data processing systems tosupport our platform. You will work onateam that empowers the other teams touse our huge amount ofdata efficiently. Using alarge variety oftechnologies and tools, you will solve complicated technical problems and build solutions tomake our services robust and flexible and our data easily accessible throughout the company. This position islocated inLviv, Ukraine. The core team islocated inLviv and primarily works remotely with occasional team meetings inthe office. Responsibilities: Build products that leverage our data and solve problems that tackle the complexity ofstreaming video advertising Develop containerized applications, largely inPython, that are deployed tothe Cloud Work within anAgile team that releases cutting-edge new features regularly Learn new technologies, and make anoutsized impact onour industry-leading tech platform Take ahigh degree ofownership and freedom toexperiment with new technologies toimprove our software Develop maintainable code and fault tolerant solutions Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers and stakeholders across the company todeliver onproduct roadmap Join ateam ofpassionate engineers insearch ofelegant solutions tohard problems Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, orequivalent practical experience 5+years ofwork experience asadata engineer Proficiency inPython and using itasthe primary development language inrecent years Proficiency inSQL and relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, etc) Ability todesign complex data models (normalized and multi-dimensional) Experience building REST services (Flask, Django, aio- etc) Experience developing, maintaining, and debugging problems inlarge server-side code bases Good knowledge ofengineering best practices and testing (unit test, integration test) The desire totake ahigh level ofownership ofthe things you work on Ability tolearn new things quickly, maintain ahigh bar for quality, and bepragmatic Must beable tocommunicate with U.S based teams Experience with AWS isaplus Ability towork 11am— 8pm EEST Our Tech Stack: Almost everything werun isonAWS Wemostly use Python, Ruby and Go For data, wemostly use Postgres and Redshift Weare excited tobebuilding out the various perks and benefits for our Ukraine team.
