We are looking for a Middle Casual Level Designer who will play a pivotal role in creating, conceptualizing, and refining immersive levels for Casual and Match-3 games while documenting your work throughout the process. You’ll be at the heart of the creative journey, ensuring that every level offers a captivating, well-balanced, and enjoyable experience for players.
Superpowers you have:
- Minimum of 3 years of level design experience in mobile game development;
- Expertise in designing levels for Casual/Match-3 games, including using level design tools and game engines like Unity;
- Deep understanding of level design principles and techniques, showcasing the ability to craft engaging and balanced game levels;
- Proven problem-solving skills, with the capability to strategize and adapt based on feedback and gameplay analytics;
- Familiarity with the game production pipeline, ensuring that designs can be effectively integrated and executed within the development framework;
- A solid grasp of the video game industry’s landscape, as well as the Casual/Match-3 mobile games market specifically, staying updated with current trends, new technologies, and shifts in player preferences;
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the team;
- Good verbal and written communication skills (English).
You’re a rockstar if you have:
- Strong interest in creating levels for Casual/Match-3 games;
- Previous experience in mentoring/leading a Level Design team, or an eagerness to give it a shot;
- Basic scripting skills;
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies;
- Passion for creating innovative gameplay experiences and exploring new technologies;
- Contributions to shipped titles or personal game projects demonstrating design skills and creativity.
Becoming part of Solid Bash, you will:
- Conceive level layouts, patterns, and challenges that cater to the game’s target audience, while aligning with the game’s narrative and art style;
- Develop initial level drafts using the tools and/or software provided internally or by the client, iterating based on feedback and playtest results;
- Ensure that levels maintain a steady difficulty curve, providing players with a mix of challenges that are neither too easy nor too hard, based on internal or external requirements.
- Regularly playtest levels, refining gameplay elements as needed to improve player experience;
- Collect and analyze playtest data to determine player engagement and areas of improvement;
- Test levels (created both independently and by members of the Level Design Team) in various editors to determine the correspondence of complexity, mechanics, duration of playthrough, and other parameters of the level in project documentation;
- Test levels in various editors to determine the compliance of difficulty, mechanics, duration of playthrough, and other parameters of the level in project documentation before final delivery.
- Adjust levels (created both independently and by members of the Level Design Team) at the internal request of the team in accordance with the requirements of the project documentation after testing;

- Maintain clear and comprehensive design documentation, detailing the purpose and functionality of each level, any associated assets, and any changes made during the development process;
- Create flowcharts and diagrams to visually represent level structures and mechanics, when required.
