Mentor of students in the direction of communications in Ukrayinska Akademiya Liderstva

We are looking for a Communications Mentor for the Ukrainian Leadership Academy in Kyiv!

We are an educational institution that has been engaged in non-formal education for youth aged 16-20 for more than 9 years. We contribute to the formation of a complete personality. Mentor at the Academy is a person who leads by example and is an expert in his field. They are ready to answer 1001 questions of the mentee, are support and advocates in times of their victories, mistakes, changes, hesitations and doubts. 

Areas of responsibility:

• Mentoring a group of 10-13 students - group and individual work with students based on the methodology of the formation program.
• Participation in the discussion process with the team/programme department/external consultant for critical situations with students who do not fully complete the training program.
• Responsibility for the profile direction, coordination of the department of students in the direction and work to achieve the goals of the communication direction of the center's activities.
• li>Development of a culture of social networking among students and the team of the cell.
• Development and implementation of a content plan for the Facebook and Instagram pages of the Academy;
• Increasing the reach and followers of the cell’s social networks.

• Organization and adjustment of the process of media coverage of the activity of the cell, including during expeditions and trips, work with the community and local actions, invitation of regional mass media;
• Preparation of photo and video content about the activity of the cell , including expeditions, journeys, projects and events.
• Communication support for cell events: creation of relevant pages in social networks, filling with content, generation of followers, advertising of events and pages. Creation of visual materials to fill cell pages in social networks, content creation in one visual style
• Coordination of Communication courses in the cell (search and support of lecturers on the topic of communication, implementation of own course;
• Rotation : attending the program from the beginning to the end of the day, which includes an intellectual, physical and emotional component, with students. Responding to students' requests.

What's important to us:

• Personal successful results in the chosen direction;
• Experience of managing social networks from 2 years;
• Knowledge of the specifics and methods of promotion insocial networks, the ability to write competent, creative texts, pick up any tone of voice;
• Confident command of programs that will help create content (Figma, Canva, etc.);
• Work experience with young people in youth, charity or volunteer organizations;
• Understanding the psychology of teenagers and the ability to find a common language with them;
• Practical experience of mentoring or a clear understanding of this role;
• li> Confident organizational and management skills, the ability to set priorities and implement ambitious ideas from scratch;
• Willingness to travel periodically in Ukraine and abroad, as well as various work formats;
• Proficiency in English will be an advantage language from level B1 (Intermediate).
