For over seven years, Veteran Hub has been helping veterans transition from military service to civilian life. Nowadays, we take care of servicemen and women, as well as their loved ones: families, loved ones, partners, parents.
One of the key areas of our work is mental health. We are currently looking for a specialist in this direction at the Vinnytsia Hub who will be a support for the team's psychologists. This person will standardize work approaches, implement best practices in mental health and provide supervisory support. Will ensure systematization of work, exchange of experience and a client-oriented approach that contributes to the development of the entire team.
Mental health specialist/position is a person who:
understands the field of psychological support for veterans and strives to improve the quality of services;
has strong clinical thinking, well-versed in modern approaches to work with stress- and trauma-related disorders and psychotherapeutic methods;
can identify psychological difficulties or symptoms, select and evaluate evidence-based tools and techniques for reducing distress clients;
is able to unify the work of various specialists/positions and develop joint approaches to providing services;
attentive to details, analytical and at the same time empathetic;
shares the Veteran Hub values of respect, transparency, support and humanity.
What to do:
coordinate the work and analyze the work of environmental psychologists;
provide individual consultations in complex or crisis cases;
work with documentation directly, create methodological materials, protocols for a multidisciplinary team;
teach the team techniques and methods that will help in working with complex customer experiences;
maintain the quality of services by analyzing trends in requests and needs;
collaborate with mental health professionals, support managers and service coordinators;
help in the training and development of a team of psychologists;
ensure compliance with ethical principles in the work of the team;
analyze data, prepare recommendations and suggestions for improving approaches.
Qualification requirements:
Mandatory higher psychological education.
Experience in individual and crisis counseling.
Experience in coordinating psychological or socialial programs. font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">
Experience in an NGO or corporate sector will be an advantage. style="font-weight: 300; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">High level of responsibility, self-organization, ethics and stress resistance.
High ethical standards, command of the Ukrainian language (oral and in writing)
Required: no ties to Russia since 2014.
