ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:

The Swiss Foundation for Mine Action (FSD) is a leading international organization working in the field of mine action and humanitarian demining. The FSD Foundation is present in various regions of the world, including Ukraine, where it occupies an important place among organizations engaged in the elimination of risks associated with explosive remnants of war. Currently, FSD is looking for a candidate for the position of medical coordinator to strengthen work with the public and interaction with representatives of mass media in Ukraine.

Position description:

Medical coordinator of the project is responsible for the training and ongoing direct supervision of the project's national medical personnel (rescuers) and quality management of their work in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 

The main responsibilities include: training of sappers-rescuers of the teams in accordance with the organization's SOPs and conducting training on the evacuation of victims in field conditions. He/she will lead a team of up to 12 Rescue Engineers and ensure they are trained and knowledgeable enough to do the job and fully understand their role and job responsibilities. If necessary, for example, in case of illness or annual leave of the team's rescue engineers, the project medical coordinator may be required to replace the team's medical officer to ensure the team's medical care. 

 Candidates must have a full medical education with relevant proven experience in providing care for injuries (in particular, mine and explosive injuries) and a medical qualification recognized in Ukraine. It is desirable to have a driver's license of category B with experience of driving four-wheel drive vehicles, as well as experience in training and managing personnel. 

Mandatory competencies:

• Reliability
• Ability to work in a team
• Previous experience training, mentoring and supervising personnel
• Ability to effectively accept and follow instructions and instructions
• Candidates must not be color blind
• Physical stamina
• Reference about medical fitness (certificate from a narcologist)
• Certificate about psychological health (certificate from a psychiatrist)
• Certificate from the Ministry of Internal Affairs about the absence of a criminal record
• Skills read and write in Ukrainian

General requirements:

• Work within the framework of the main values ​​of the FSD, promoting its spirit and mission; especially impartiality and non-political.
• Work to achieve organizational and program level objectives.
• Keep abreast of FSD global activities.
• Make sure you familiarize yourself with all politicians and FSD procedures and follow them.
• Participate in meetings, meetings and seminars upon request.
• Participate in FSD training events upon request.
