GO The Southern Development Strategy (SDS) is a national leader in practical recovery. We develop and pilot innovative solutions in humanitarian response. Our organization implements large-scale projects in partnership with UNICEF, WFP, FAO, ACTED, PAH, Save the Children and other international leaders.
We are looking for an analyst in the office in Mykolaiv, who will become the "eyes and ears" of infrastructure restoration projects (WASH & Shelter) throughout the South of Ukraine. Your role is to ensure the quality of care, transparency of numbers and direct communication with community residents.
Key duties:
- Field monitoring (30% of working time): regular visits to facilities in Mykolaiv, Kherson and Odesa regions to verify the work performed and control compliance with standards of quality.
- Office work and analytics (70% of working time): data processing in the KoboToolbox system, preparation of technical reports for the Reporting Officer, analysis of descriptive statistics and visualization of results.
- Accountability: administration of the "hotline" of the region, processing of appeals and complaints of beneficiaries in accordance with international humanitarian standards.
- Data collection and processing: development of tools (questionnaires, questionnaires) and monitoring of trends regarding the effectiveness of the assistance provided.
- Coordination: daily cooperation with the program team and technical specialists in the field. Subordination to the MEAL manager of the organization.
Conditions and benefits:
Reservation: official employment with the possibility of booking an employee (deferral from the draft).
Salary (after taxes):
68,000 UAH — for FOP of the 3rd group;
UAH 33,000 — under an employment contract (with reservation).
Safety: provision of personal protective equipment and mandatory HEAT-training for safe work in frontline communities.
Contract: term 9–12 months with the possibility of extension.
Schedule: from 09:30 to 18:30 (base office in Mykolaiv + active field trips to the South).
Requirements for the candidate:
- Background: we are open to sociologists, analysts, specialists from the civil service or local government. Experience in an NGO will be an advantage, but systematic and analytical mindset is a priority.
- Technical skills: confident command of KoboToolbox and Excel (pivot tables, formsstreets). Experience with Power BI or Tableau will be a significant plus.
- Languages: English at B2 level (ability to keep written reports and work with logical-structural matrices of projects).
- Soft skills: communication skills for ethical communication with people in communities, stress resistance and attention to details.
