The International Charitable Foundation "Vashe Misto" created the first Volunteer Medical Assistance Centers in Ukraine. Since 2022, more than 85,000 people have received assistance from the "Vashe Misto" fund absolutely free of charge. Our team continues its mission to save lives and maintain the health of those who need it most, contributing to the physical and mental recovery of Ukrainians.
We are currently looking for a MEAL Manager to join our team in Odessa. The MEAL Manager will be responsible for quality assurance of project implementation, data collection and analysis, evaluation of results, accountability and implementation of best practices in the organization. Main responsibilities:
Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation systems for fund projects (identification indicators, data collection tools, monitoring schedules).
Collection, verification and analysis of data (qualitative and quantitative) on the progress of program implementation; regular tracking of project progress and achievement of planned indicators.
Conducting monitoring visits to project implementation sites to monitor the progress of activities, on-site team consultation, readiness for short-term business trips as needed work.uawork.ua.
Evaluation effectiveness and impact: participation in the evaluation of intermediate and final results of projects (surveys, focus groups, interviews, etc.) and the formulation of conclusions and recommendations. Preparation of reports on the progress of project implementation - both internal analytical reports for management and reports for donors and partners (according to donor requirements).
Development of training sessions and training for employees on MEAL tools and methods; increasing the capacity of the team in data collection and analysis.
Accountability and feedback mechanisms: implementation and maintenance of a mechanism for collecting complaints and feedback from beneficiaries and the community; ensuring proper registration, responding to complaints and taking into account feedback to improve project activities.
Integration of best practices: use of industry standards and best practices in the work of the fund - maintaining and regularly updating an electronic database of beneficiaries and assistance provided, tracking key performance indicators, implementing convenient collection tools and data visualizations.
Supporting transparency and communication: collecting success stories, quotes and examples from field locations to demonstrate the impact of projects; cooperation with the communications team to increase the visibility of the fund's results.
Coordination with partners and donors in matters of monitoring and evaluation; ensuring compliance with donor reporting and metrics requirements; participation in the preparation of new project applications (formation of logical-structural matrices, selection of indicators, etc.) according to their direction.
Requirements for the candidate:
Mandatory:
Higher education in the field of social sciences, statistics, management, economics or related fields.
Experience of from 2 years in the field of project monitoring and evaluation or data analysis (experience in charitable or humanitarian organizations will be an advantage).
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); preferably experience with data collection/management tools (KoboToolbox, Google Forms, ODK, Airtable, etc.)
Understanding the principles of MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Learning) and the practical application of these approaches in projects.
Fluent command of the Ukrainian language; English is not below the average level.
Analytical thinking, attention to details, the ability to structure data and formulate conclusions based on their results.
Excellent communication skills, the ability to explain complex things in simple words and work effectively in a team.
It will be an advantage:
Experience of working in international or national humanitarian organizations, participation in projects of international donors.
Skills in data visualization (Power BI, Tableau, Canva) and preparing presentations for different audiences.
Experience in conducting sociological research: surveys, focus groups, interviews and analysis of their results.
What we offer:
Place of work: Odesa; the schedule is a full working week (Monday-Friday, 10:00-17:00).
Contract: 12 months with the possibility of extension.
Salary:40000-50,000 UAH (depending on experience and results).
