Manual Quality Assurance Engineer in Tutorpeers

AboutThere are two different projects we're working on; the main one is a peer-to-peer tutoring platform with event booking capabilities and Zoom-like online sessions. We've been testing the platform with a US-based private school and conducting full-scale marketing campaigns to appeal to a broader audience.We have well-defined processes, trying to automate routine things, conduct code reviews, use CI and CD pipelines to check and ship our code to the infrastructure managed by Terraform and Ansible. We use the Agile approach with daily stand-ups, bi-weekly sprints, and other artifacts. But don't be afraid, we keep the number of meetings to the very minimum so that engineers can focus on delivering high-quality work.We're looking for someone who's very detail-oriented, self-driven, and can handle multiple priorities well (switch between projects and prioritize to complete work on time).Requirements- 3 or more years of experience in functional and non-functional Quality Assurance-Knowledge of testing processes, methodologies and standardsAbility to work effectively and manage multiple prioritiesAttention to details- Ability to understand explicit and implicit dependencies in code flows, allowing to come up with non-trivial test cases to run- Experience testing Web application with complex workflows and sophisticated integrations (we use Twilio Video, Twilio Chats, Twilio Sync, Stripe, managed Amazon services)- Experience in writing documents (test plans, check-lists, test-cases, etc.)- Experience in testing APIs with Postman- Basic knowledge in HTML/CSS, SQL- At least intermediate level of English (B1)Would be a plus- Experience with TestRail test management system- Experience in mobile applications testing- Experience with proxy tools such as Charles ProxyResponsibilities- Create, plan, and execute test with TestRail, prepare testing checklists- Conduct feature tests, smoke and regression tests as necessary- Manual testing of Front End and Back End (API testing)- Do basic research to understand nature of issues before you report them- Diligently report issues with all relevant details (steps to reproduce, screenshots, screencasts)- Manual testing Web and Mobile Applications- Cross-browser, cross-device testing- Review documentation and analysis requirements- Effectively collaborate with team members to achieve the best results
