Manager of educational programs in Region Karpat, MFOZNS / NEEKA

MFOZNS "Carpathian Region" NEEKA announces a competition for the position of manager of educational programs in the Roma communities - Mukachevo, Uzhgorod, Sambir, Stryi and Zimnovodivo communities, under conditions of partial employment of 75%.

Requirements for the candidate:

-Higher education in the field of education, pedagogy, social work, project management or rights.

- 3 years of experience in managing educational or social projects; (preferably - experience working with Roma communities or other vulnerable groups)

-Understanding barriers to access to education for Roma children and youth.

-Understanding the Romani language or cultural characteristics of Roma communities.

-Skills for planning, monitoring, preparing reports.

Main responsibilities:

1. Development and implementation of educational programs aimed at increasing access Roma children and youth to quality education.

2. Organization of preparatory courses, trainings, groups, educational support programs.

3. Adaptation of programs to the cultural characteristics of the community.

4. Management of the work of educational mediators, mentor teachers, volunteers.

5. Cooperation with schools, departments of education, communities, local leaders.

6.Collection and analysis of data: program coverage, attendance rate, success of children.

7.Reporting to management and donors.

8.Development and implementation of information campaigns on the topic: rights to education, overcoming discrimination, encouragement to study.

9.Organization of events: forums, education days, opportunity fairs for young people.
