Head/Instructor of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) is responsible for conducting trainings and supporting staff and/or partner organizations working on issues of gender-based violence (GBV), with the aim of strengthening capacity to prevent and respond to cases of gender-based violence (GBV).

Main tasks and responsibilities
Planning
- Support capacity development needs assessments, in collaboration with government and partners, as needed
- Supporting the development of capacity building strategies
- Work closely with the HR Coordinator/Manager/HR Technical Advisor as appropriate to plan capacity building activities li>
- Collaborate with relevant program teams to prioritize training for staff and stakeholders.
- Coordinate work with partner institutions , as needed, organizing training and supporting capacity building needs
- Supporting the recruitment of new personnel, as needed, to strengthen the organizational capacity of emergency response services
< li style="font-weight: 400">Ensuring compliance with the Minimum Standards of the International Medical Corps for combating GZN, as well as relevant interagency instructions and standards- Coordinating robots with the logistics department and other departments with the purpose of training planning
Building Potential
- Supporting the development and adaptation of training tools and resources
- Orienting staff and partners, as needed , on programming and professional development resources
- Provide face-to-face training and training for, as needed, technical areas for non-professionalsby specialists in the field of public health, according to the needs of the program and contextual needs. Training topics may include basic concepts of GBV, basics of basic GBV response and referral to specialists, issues of integration and GBV risk reduction, protection from sexual exploitation and violence
- Conduct face-to-face training and trainings for counter-terrorism specialists in technical areas, according to the needs of the program and the context. Training topics may include Minimum Standards for Addressing GBV, GBV case management, caring for abused children, supporting adolescent girls, information on safe spaces for women and girls, as well as information on other technical approaches or program models< /li>
- Conducting remote and face-to-face trainings
- Supporting and managing capacity building initiatives beyond trainings, if necessary, including trainings and team exercises
Project Management
- Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of trainings and track participation in them
- Planning and procurement of materials , required to conduct trainings, according to project budget and schedule
- Maintain clear records and data of all trainings and capacity building activities
- Monitor progress and report on issues
- Contribute to the preparation of regular reports on schedule, on time and with accurate data
- Ensure donor compliance
Work Coordination, Promotion and Representation
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders, including partner organizations, community leaders and service providers
- Represent capacity needs, program goals, and standards for combating illegal activities
Security and Conduct
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and policies
- Contribute to a safe and supportive work environment for all employees, volunteers and partners working in the field of countering GBV
- Demonstrate the core principles of GBV countering programs, including respect, non-discrimination, responsible use of power, non-violence and promotion of gender equality.
- Contribute to building a positive image and general trust in the program and the organization, in particular through adherence to the Code of Conduct and Ethics, including compliance with the anti-harassment, protection and prevention of sexual exploitation and violence policies.

Minimum Requirements
- Generally, a high school education or relevant experience is required. A college degree is preferred. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as needed.
- Typically 3+ years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated commitment to core principles of GBV programs, including gender equality and services support aimed at victims of violence.
- Getting familiar with relevant standards, approaches and tools for preventing and responding to GBV
- Knowledge of standards and guidelines related to the prevention of sexual exploitation and violence
- Experience in training and facilitation processes
- Experience with local/national partners preferred
- Experience with state and local service providers preferred
- Ability to make informed decisions, remain flexible and apply experience and guidance to new challenges that arise
- Strong communication skills
