Manager, Billing & Accounts Receivable in Golden State Warriors

About The PositionThe Golden State Warriors are looking for a dedicated and highly motivated Manager to join the expanding Accounting team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your curiosity and attention to detail to manage all accounts receivable activities. Additional duties include various aspects of monthly close and general ledger, process design and implementation, and other projects. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting.Come share your expertise while learning more about this growing sports and entertainment organization that values your initiative and dedication!This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee AR processes, AR GL close and billing operations and processes internally and externally with other departmentsPartner with FP&A, Legal, Sales, AR, and various business owners on policies, processes, and programs, and help drive key system initiatives and improvements and provide billing automationLead operational improvement initiatives to further streamline revenue operations process and shorten the revenue close calendarManage all customer inquiries, own customer billing cycle from sales order to cash collection, to revenue recognition, ensuring all customer data is recorded accurately in ERP systemReview customer contracts/partnership agreements to determine proper billing scheduleDevelop reconciliation procedures, reports and reconciliation schedules for customer agingOwn and manage month-end AR close by preparing all AR account reconciliations and journal entries (i.e., journal entries for unbilled AR, accounts receivable, revenue, cash and related accounts on a monthly basis, etc.)Ensure quality controls over revenue transactions and reporting while establishing accuracy and compliance with GAAP and appropriate documentation for external reporting and audit requirementsCoordinate with and support external auditorsLead and develop AR teamRequired Experience & SkillsBachelor's degree, preferably in Finance or Business Administration, or equivalent work experienceMinimum 5 years of accounting experience (i.e., full-cycle Accounts Receivable and billing/cash management/collection)3 years of supervisory experience overseeing 2+ employeesExperience developing workstreams with cross-functional teamsExperience with ERP accounting software including the underlying process, preferably NetSuiteGeneral understanding and ability to detail accounting principles, procedures and internal controlsAbility to call out any unusual operational or financial events and/or deviations of policies or procedures to managementProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel (pivots, lookups, etc.)Ability to build positive working relationships with clients and peers at all levels within the organizationExcellent written and verbal communication, service and resolution skillsExcellent problem solving, communication, and presentation skillsAbility to balance multiple projects at once in a fast-paced work environmentCompensation$119,000 - 126,000 + BonusComprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision benefits for employees and dependentsEmployer 401K matchVacation, Summer Half-Day Fridays and a generous paid time off plan for pregnancy and parental leavesWarriors home tickets, team store discount and more!Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.Golden State Warriors is an equal opportunity employer.We will ensure that qualified applicants with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment.Want to learn more about who we are and what we value?
