Position Duties:
General responsibilities:
- Line management of project personnel Compliance with NRC policy and donor requirements.
- Participate in the development of strategies for the country, region and the Department of Food Security and Livelihood (hereinafter LFS), initiate and participate in the development of relevant LFS projects
- Coordinate and manage the implementation of LFS projects (activities, budget and project documentation) in accordance with proposals, strategies and requirements of donors.
- Provide technical guidance and ensure high technical quality of projects.
- Provide regular project progress reports to Regional Manager, Regional Program Manager
- Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need of protection, explore and evaluate new and better ways of delivering aid.
- Develop and manage the project budget and coordinate work between other departments.
- Ensuring the development of the potential of project personnel and the transfer of key knowledge and skills.
- Communicate and collaborate with relevant partners, local authorities and other key stakeholders.
Specific duties:
- Program development and planning:
- Analyze and collect relevant information related to LFS in the region of operation and identify key trends and needs.
- Contribute to the development of new interventions based on identified needs in consultation with partners, staff, regional office management, and cash flow and markets specialist.
- Debugging and maintainingand strong relations with partners, ensuring effective communication, cooperation and coordination during the implementation of the program.
- Supervise the implementation of programs in the field of food security and livelihoods, including cash and voucher interventions, and market programs, ensuring adherence to program design, standards and protocols.
- Lead colleagues and partners on the ground in the planning and implementation of food security interventions security, cash assistance, vouchers and market support, ensuring implementation teams adhere to relevant program standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitoring, evaluation and training:
- Provide support and collaborate with NRC's Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team in conducting baseline assessments, post-proliferation monitoring and related analytical activities, and ensure accountability.
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans to evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency and impact of the program.
- Line management of staff in accordance with NRC procedures, ensuring that NRC is an employer of choice for work.
- Capacity building, coaching and mentoring of colleagues to ensure productivity and growth
- Creating and maintaining a positive work environment.
General competencies for the position :
General professional competencies:
- Relevant university qualification (eg agriculture, economics, project management or related fields).
- At least 3 years of experience in a project management role, preferably in a humanitarian/rehabilitation context and NRC programs.
- Proven experience working in emergencies in food security, livelihoods and/or money and market programs
- Experience in managing activities, personnel and budgets.
- Documented results related to job duties
- Experience of working in difficult and unstable conditions
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and reporting skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of own leadership skillscap/profile
- Fluency in English as both oral and written.
Context/specific skills, knowledge and experience:
- Previous experience in developing livelihood and food security programs in Ukraine
- In-depth knowledge of the humanitarian context in Ukraine
