As we expand our operations, we are on the lookout for seasoned Linux & VMware Administrator Qualifications and skills: 4+ years of experience in a similar position (preferably 7+)Ability to administer Linux systems (RedHat)Ability to administer VMware / VSphere ( Basics, vlan, storage) Basic knowledge of network issues (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN) Knowledge of virtualization or containerization technologies (VMware, Docker, Podman) Knowledge of monitoring systems (Zabbix, Nagios, Check MK, Icinga) Knowledge of SQL database administration (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle DB, DB/2)Good understanding of Linux tools, with an emphasis on curl, Wireshark, ansible and using gitUnderstanding of SAN and NAS storage.Understanding VMWare, Virtual Center, Configuration and ManagementCan write small scripts in bash and pythonDocker Roles & Responsibilities:Installation and Configurations of RHEL Linux OSManaging RHEL Linux cluster (HA),Managing Redhat Satellite serverRHEL server upgrade— LCMCreate, Delete and modify user and groupsCreating Local volume and PV, VG, LVNetwork Config, Access providingProviding incident report details information, providing good customer service.OS access management, local group policy management, OS security hardening,OS performance issues troubleshooting, folder level permission management.Performance issues like- High CPU, High Memory, OS hungs, OS repair, unexpected OS reboots.Daily operations, P1 & P2 incidents, major change activity, Root cause analysis, change managementPatch and Package administrationWriting shell scripts to accomplish day-to-day system administration taskTroubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issuesCapacity planning and fine-tune system for optimal performanceInstallation, configuration and Administration of Backup environmentAdministration of NIS or LDAP environmentConfiguring Linux Security baselineTroubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issuesSecurity Administration – Add/remove/Troubleshoot Security Policies.Tools Administration – Agent Installation.Device Management – ​​Installing & Configuring devices, automation via Ansible .Syslog & Log management.Documentation – Systems/tool/Service management documents update.Process-related activities, Scripts Maintenance.
