We’re looking for a Legal Counsel to support Beetroot with legal advice on corporate governance and other regulatory matters.

For over 10 years, Beetroot has been a trusted partner for companies worldwide to solve their software and tech staffing needs. We have a strong tech community and work with startups and established brands in GreenTech, Healthcare, EdTech, and other impactful industries. As legal counsel, you will provide overall legal support to different teams in Beetroot with regulatory issues, general legal advice on all matters, and draft and advice on contracts. You will be an integral part of the Beetroot team and are proactive and hands-on. You like to balance the interests of different stakeholders, while being part of driving the sustainable growth of our company.

What you’ll do in your role:

• Providing legal consultation (contract, commercial, tax, and labor law) to internal stakeholders;
• Coordinate Information Security topics with our Information Security Manager and internal stakeholders;
• Drafting and reviewing agreements, contracts, and other legal documents;
• Communication and negotiation regarding agreements and contracts;
• Applying effective risk management techniques and offering proactive advice on possible legal issues;
• Ownership of internal legal projects;
• Monitor compliance to internal legal policies and procedures;
• Contract management.
  

What we’re looking for:

• Degree in law
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience within Ukraine
• Experience in dealing with companies in foreign jurisdictions
• Contracts’ drafting and negotiations experience, with the ability to provide legal solutions
• Ability to take ownership of legal projects
• Understanding of Diia city’s requirements
• Problem-solving mindset
• You like to work with people with different backgrounds
• Upper-intermediate (or higher) level of English (both spoken and written)

How to knock our socks off:

• Experience of English or Sweden contract law
• Experience on the GDPR
• Attorney license
• Naming five or more dishes that include Beetroot, besides borshch ;)
