The purpose of the position: the main goal is to establish cooperation with internal and external partners of the volunteering and youth development department (operational divisions of the National Committee of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine, the Committee of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine on the development of volunteering and youth policy, representatives of authorities, organizations and institutions that involve volunteers in their activities, etc.) for the widespread implementation of the standards of volunteering development and management of volunteers adopted by the Ukrainian Red Cross. The criteria for success will be developed and implemented documents and plans for the implementation of volunteer management standards in separate areas of activity of the Ukrainian Red Cross, planned and conducted joint activities with partners. 

Main responsibilities:

• Development of standard operating procedures and other methodical materials on the development of volunteerism and volunteer management within the framework of specific areas of activity for the relevant structural divisions of the National Committee and in cooperation with them. 
• Assistance in the planning and implementation of joint activities with other structural units of the National Committee related to the development of volunteering and management of volunteers. 
• Methodological, consulting, and technical support of other structural units of the National Committee of the Society, regional specialists in volunteering development (volunteering and youth), volunteer leaders in matters of volunteering development and volunteer management, including by conducting trainings, educational and information sessions on volunteer management for them.  

General responsibilities:

• Actively work to achieve the goals of the Red Cross Society.
• Adhere to the principles of the Red Cross Movement and work in accordance with them.
• Perform any other work-related tasks and duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor manager.

Requirements for the candidate:

• Incomplete higher/higher education.
• Experience in volunteering and/or managing volunteers. 
• Experience of work and/or volunteering in the Red Cross Society of Ukraine.

• Fluency in the Ukrainian language.
• Fluency in English will be an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Cooperation and teamwork will be an advantage.
• Decision-making skills are desirable.
• Ability to cooperate with partners/contractors, local organizations.
